Position Summary:
Pendulum is seeking an experienced Facilities Coordinator who will be responsible for maintaining the day-to-day operations and maintenance of Pendulum’s manufacturing, office and laboratory facilities including supporting common area spaces in accordance with applicable regulatory (e.g., FDA, OSHA, Cal-OSHA, EPA) and cGMP standards. With this hands-on role, you will actively be part of the discovery, development and delivery of our products to our customers while getting the opportunity to directly contribute to the company’s success.
What You'll Do:
- Manage the day-to-day operation and maintenance of Pendulum’s office, manufacturing, and laboratory facilities, including management of building utilities (HVAC, plumbing, power, lighting, etc.) and waste pick-up
- Manage service providers and vendor contracts related to the maintenance, calibration, and repair of facility, utility equipment and building systems
- Perform routine facilities maintenance and repair tasks according to general service, quality, and safety standards.
- Respond to in-hours and out-of-hours alarm calls.
- Process work requests and turn in completed work requests in a timely and professional manner.
- Author SOPs for utilities, equipment and facility related policies.
- Manage multiple projects from inception through to completion.
- Collaborate with Engineering, Manufacturing, Quality and EH&S on maintenance and upgrades of existing facilities.
- Assist lab operations team in troubleshooting equipment.
- Gather internal requirements and deliver solutions that satisfy internal customer's needs.
- Manage end-to-end process and communicate progress within the organization, with minimal supervision
- Resolve highly critical issues within the organization while maintaining rigorous adherence to project timelines and costs
- Heavy Lifting and Moving, Computers and Related Equipment, Heavy Equipment up to 40 lbs.
- Completes any other duties/responsibilities assigned by senior management.
Knowledge Requirements:
- Bachelor’s degree in a Facility related degree or 3–5 years of relevant experience.
- Experience with industrial technical facilities (Electrical, HVAC, Permitting, controls, etc...)
- Ability to speak and write in English fluently. Self-starter, generalist, good communicator, respectful of the organization and colleagues
- 4 years of experience with PLC or DCS equipment/environments and start up/commissioning processes, including electrical switchgear, generators, water systems, chillers, air handling units, controls, security monitoring systems, and fire safety systems.
- Experience in requirements gathering, resource organization, task prioritization, scheduling, and achieving objectives within set goals.
- Experience managing vendor relationships.
- Understanding of standard practices in the design and construction industry.
- Ability to travel between our two San Francisco sites and storage facilities as needed.
