Facilities Technician

Job Description:  

We are looking for a skilled Facilities technician to perform overall upkeep tasks such as repairs and cleaning in 2 facilities located in Chatsworth, CA.

Key Responsibilities

• Perform cleaning activities such as dusting, mopping etc. 
• Perform minor fixes such as repairing broken items, painting and patching.
• Check control panels and electrical wiring to identify issues 
• Install appliances, equipment and furniture as needed. 
• Perform general office repairs and upkeep 
• Clean all robotic cells on PM schedule 
• Perform basic plumbing, carpentry, and electrical work 
• Conduct maintenance tasks such as replacing light bulbs, breakdown and disposal of boxes, pallets and garbage disposal.
• Maintain chemical inventory and manage disposal of all chemicals using GHS labels 
• Manage 5-S program 
• HVAC maintenance
• Support Facilities Manager with all safety related matters 
• Support ERT team with drills and evacuation 
• Cleaning of CCTV cameras and inspection and support to door access systems and ring systems 
• Drain moister from Compressor systems – collect condensate and dispose of properly. 
• Inspect and troubleshoot equipment and systems (quality audits) 
• Check functionality of safety systems (e.g. fire alarm) 
• Collaborate with production staff and facilities manager on projects.
• Daily reporting of work/task done. 

Qualification

• 3+ years of experience in a facilities maintenance role. 
• Basic knowledge of HVAC, plumbing and electrical systems. 
• Experience using hand and electrical tools. 
• Personal vehicle for transportation between our two facilities in Chatsworth.
• Physical stamina and manual dexterity with ability to life up to 40lbs occasionally.
• Must be a team player
• Proficient in MS Office 
• Experience with safety training platforms preferred. 
• Excellent written and oral communication skills. 
• Experience in a hardware, manufacturing, or high-growth environment is a plus.
• HS diploma or equivalent required.
