Facilities Technician

As a Facilities Technician at Freeform, you will perform a range of critical duties to maintain and enhance the infrastructure for our office and engineering environments. You will be responsible for repairing and upgrading electrical systems, water/fluid/gas systems, handling material, organizing supplies and inventory, and any other duties required to support an efficient operation. We are looking for a strong team player with a “no job too big or small mentality” that aligns with our collaborative corporate culture.

Responsibilities:

• Operate forklifts, scissor lifts, and boom lifts to handle and move material around the facility.
• Run cables, wires, and other industrial electrical equipment.
• Provide maintenance support for manufacturing tools and office related equipment.
• Maintain industrial hygiene standards.
• Inspect and maintain EHS equipment and systems.
• Maintain hazardous waste management program.
• Adhere to proper safety guidelines at all times.

Basic Qualifications:

• 3+ years of experience in facilities support such as electrical, plumbing, HVAC, construction, or industrial gas trades.

Preferred Skills and Experience:

• Knowledge of basic engineering and construction principles and methods.
• Able to read instructions and blueprints.
• Construction, mechanical, or manufacturing background.
• Experience with project management software.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills.
• Experience in a fast-paced engineering environment.
• Must be physically capable of performing manual labor tasks (lift up to 50 lbs. from the floor).
• Ability to work while standing on lifts and ladders.
• Valid CA driver’s license.

• We are located in Hawthorne in a 35,000 square foot, state-of-the-art facility featuring large open spaces for team collaboration, large R&D and production areas, as well as easy access to the 405, 105, and 110 freeways.
