We are looking for an adaptable and motivated Facilities Manager. This role leads a small team of facilities technicians responsible for upkeep and buildout of our 90 acre campus in Berthoud, with the potential for future growth in other Front Range sites. The Facilities team is responsible for day-to-day groundskeeping and building maintenance, as well strategic projects to improve current infrastructure and add new buildings. This includes bidding, permitting, and contactor management as well as taking a hands-on role when necessary. This position will work closely with Environmental Health and Safety. A Facilities Manager with the right background and experience may also manage EHS.

Job Focus Areas and Expectations

  • Manage a team of facility technicians who maintain and improve our non-test stand facilities. As a people leader, this role will have regular 1:1s, conduct performance reviews, coach employees, and manage team-related issues
  • Maintain and report an annual facility budget of $1m+. This will fluctuate based on business requirements and necessitate creativity to deploy resources responsibly
  • Maintains excellent facility cleanliness, manage janitorial and ensure the site is always prepared for tours and showings at all times
  • Manage and maintain physical site security with obstructions, processes, and personnel focused on keeping our people, buildings, and hardware secure.
  • Skilled and experienced with facility maintenance, including electrical, plumbing, HVAC, fire sprinkler, and general construction work. Can rely on outside contractors where it makes sense
  • Primary point of contact for non-test stand facility expansion. Acts as an ‘internal general contractor’ including cost estimation, project management, permitting, regulatory compliance, and contractor/vendor management
  • Review job requests to determine priorities, and schedule installation, maintenance, and repairs
  • Create a preventative maintenance program using both internal and contracted support.
  • Responsible for oversight of all aspects of installation and maintenance of manufacturing systems and site-wide infrastructure
  • On-call for emergencies (ex: water breaks, power dropouts, sewage backups)

Preferred Qualifications

  • 3+ years of experience in trade work
  • Experience managing contractors or contract labor
  • Fundamental understanding of electrical, plumbing, HVAC, and general facility management
  • Demonstrated construction experience (new builds, facility expansion)


Colorado law requires us to tell you the base compensation range of this role, which is $90,000 - $130,000, determined by your education, experience, knowledge, skills, and abilities.
