Facility Security & Logistics Support

Your role in helping us shape the future:
As a professional in Corporate Services, you will play a key role in supporting Intelsat's Customer Service Center and Teleport Operations located in Ellenwood GA. With an emphasis on Security and Logistics operations, you will work with leaders in our Sales, Commercial Programs, Network Engineering, external customers and more. You will interface with customers and guests and will help with access control activities, compliance audits and coordinate special events.
Are you up to the challenge?

• Assists security & front desk activities. Activities include badge issuance, monitoring/auditing security access system to provide/remove site access, and coverage for as applicable.
• Responsible for registration of Intelsat visitors, guests, and customers.
• Assists with major construction related projects for contractor management and access requests.
• Provides backup to reception desk when receptionist is not available.
• Performs specialized work including updating and maintaining various databases and generating reports and spreadsheets.
• Always maintains clean and safe working environment and lead by example
• Responsible for initiating Purchase Requisitions, managing monthly Operating and Capital Expense accruals and generating monthly financial reports for the department.
• Manages service contracts including general contractors, security, floor and carpet cleaning, data/server room cleaning, onsite cafeteria and vending, and coffee services.
• Assists with scheduling adds, moves, and changes within our space management software system and ensures database is kept up to date.
• Responsible for the daily coordination of all onsite building events including coordination with caterers and facilities management.
• Develops Statements of Work and Standards of Procedure as needed.
• Assists with updates to departmental intranet website.
• Is part of the Emergency Response Team, participates on the Safety Management Team and conducts safety awareness audits.
• Assists Facility Engineering & Maintenance department on non-routine tasks.
• Operates company cargo van to complete daily run between Ellenwood & Atlanta Warehouse facilities
• Provides Logistics support shipping/receiving and distribution of mail/small packages. Tasks include but not limited to:
• Processes global small parcel shipments via FedEx and large freight via 3PL Freight Forwards & customs brokers with use of commercial invoices, packing lists, EEI's, Incoterms, etc.
• Ensures import/export shipments are in accordance with EAR and ITAR Regulations
• Packs shipments in accordance with carrier, compliance & safety requirements and ensures security of product.
• Audit ServiceNow requests and shipping documentation to ensure completeness and accuracy.
• Track shipments throughout lifecycle, promptly troubleshoot transit and/or customs delays as needed, and notify stakeholders upon delivery
• Receive shipments, maintains internal receiving log, and coordinate with internal customers on collection of incoming shipments
• Reviews packing lists from incoming purchase order shipments and process 3-Way Match receipt in Oracle for goods received
• Ensures inventory is asset tagged, accounted for in ServiceNow, and properly stored to ensure security.

You should definitely have:

• Knowledge of basic facility security protocols
• Ability to learn security access programs, badge issuance & other processes as assigned
• At least 3-years of experience in logistics operations & facility related disciplines including security.
• Experienced in working with freight forwarders, carriers, customs brokers & suppliers
• Strong warehouse, inventory & asset management skills
• Excellent organization skills and ability to prioritize work performed
• Ability to effectively work autonomously and serve as back-up to other team members
• Strong proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, specifically Microsoft Excel, and general computer processes for necessary daily operation of service center
• Ability and willingness to work extended hours when necessary and sometimes with limited notice, to meet business demands
• Excellent communication and customer service skills in a multi-cultural environment and ability to thrive in a close team environment
• Forklift certification or ability to obtain within 90 days
• Valid driver's license & clean driving record

• Lenel Security Access Control Background
• Avigilon Cloud Services
• ISO 45001, 9001, and 14001
• ProCore or Newforma platforms
• APICS CLTD Certification or equivalent
• Experience with ServiceNow ERP
• Experience with Oracle Applications
