Factory Controller
Job Description
General Information:
This position reports to the Factory Manager of the Business Unit and is a member of the Business Unit Staff. The Business Unit is a P& L operation. The Controller is responsible for the financial management of the Business Unit, including coordination and direction of the accounting, budget and strategic planning, staffing, and all other activities necessary for a successful financial function. Support and serve as a Consultant and Advisor to the Business Unit management
Your Responsibilities:
- Assure compliance and enforcement of BUU specific finance directives and instructions, including the Group Accounting and Reporting Guidelines.

- Identify risks and assure proper risk management procedures including SOX controls area adequate and effective
- Direct and support the BUU in strategic planning and implementation of agreed to programs and plans
- • Direct and support the BUU in budgeting and implementation of agreed to programs and plans to achieve these budgets
- Direct and support the BUU in financial analysis and forecasting to provide management information, then follow with direct actions and provide tools that facilitate implementation of actions to achieve performances as planned
- Serve as a Consultant and Advisor to General Manager and Management Team Members
- Define key performance indicators (KPIs), and assure implementation and use to improve business performance
- • Perform analysis and reviews of proposals, performances, and actions within the BU, and recommend next steps
- Evaluate and follow-up investment, divestment, and restructuring projects
- Assure proper financial reporting as required for the business
- Encourage & lead continuous improvements and cost reductions
- Ensure coordination and cooperation with shared service centers
- Supervise 4 Financial Analysts
- Follow and perform duties in accordance with the Hitachi Energy Code of Conduct
- Travel - approximately 5%-10%

Your Background:
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting/Finance or Business related field and 10 years of finance/accounting operational experience OR;
- MBA or Master in Accounting and 8 years' experience in finance/accounting operational experience.
- Candidate must already have work authorization that would permit them to work for Hitachi Energy in the United States.
- Strong skills and experience with SAP
- Preferred Qualifications
- This position requires a broad knowledge of diverse financial functions in manufacturing and general business.
- The complex financial and related responsibilities of this position require exceptional analytical, decision making and planning skills plus the ability to be strategic leader and innovator.
- Understanding Hitachi Energy financial and business processes and structure is preferred
- Excellent communication and presentation skills. This position requires regular communication with Hitachi Energy executives globally.
- Proven ability to work at a high degree of teamwork and group synergy.
- MBA preferred. Professional certifications such as CPA, CMA and/or CPIM are also preferred.
