Failure Analysis Specialist

Failure Analyst’s at Lunar Energy will be responsible for investigating and determining the root causes of our various components and systems during the validation of our revolutionary home energy products. This includes providing detailed reports including optical, chemical and materials inspections. We are looking for people who are passionate about a more sustainable future and want to make that vision a reality. An ideal candidate is someone who is excited to collaborate with a diverse and dedicated team.

• Collaborate, either in-office or remotely,  with mechanical, electrical, test and reliability  engineers across the company .
• Preparing Cross-Sections of various PCBA or other components.
• Conducting and reviewing elemental analysis such are SEM/EDX
• Assisting in Post-Test inspections after various exposure conditions
• Conducting Photo-Documentation Post Test.
• Conducting and reviewing X-ray and/CT imaging analysis
• Facilitate failure Analysis to determine root cause and drive product improvement.
• Maintaining and calibrating inspection equipment

What Have You Done:

• Vocational Degree in relevant field or Equivalent.
• Experience with digital microscopy, cross-sectioning and polishing of samples
• Experience with PCBA and/or Battery failure analysis.
