As Checkr’s Fair Chance Success Manager, you will be critical to the ongoing success and growth of this internal fair chance program. You will work cross-functionally to build pipelines of formerly incarcerated and other justice-impacted talent into every department at Checkr. You will be responsible for maintaining deep relationships with sourcing partners, developing pre-employment skill-build programs, training Checkr staff on best practices and reaching Checkr’s annual fair chance hiring goal. You will work closely with the talent and their managers to ensure their ongoing success and growth at the company. You will report to, and collaborate with, the Sr. Manager of Fair Chance Development who will be responsible for supporting Checkr’s customers and other businesses with implementing fair chance programs of their own.
Responsibilities:
- Oversee and manage Checkr’s internal fair chance program from recruitment and hiring to onboarding and supporting the ongoing success of new hires
- Review Checkr’s existing fair chance program to recommend and implement new policies and procedures that improve fairness, inclusivity and belonging at the company
- Design, coordinate and facilitate trainings for Checkr recruiters, hiring managers, and HR staff on best practices for fair and inclusive hiring
- Build and maintain strong relationships with community based organizations / sourcing partners (in all Checkr locations, i.e. Denver, SF, Orlando, remote) to develop pipelines of fair chance talent to Checkr
- Identify key skills and qualifications needed for ongoing roles at Checkr and create learning pathways for talent to skill-up for those positions
- Conduct regular check-ins with fair chance talent and managers to ensure their success, understand and address any challenges or gap areas, and identify opportunities for additional supportÂ
- Maintain effective mechanisms for tracking and reporting on the success and key learnings of the fair chance program; Ensure Checkr is reaching or exceeding our annual fair chance hiring goal
- Continuously interact with the Sr. Manger of Fair Chance Development to identify new opportunities to improve our internal program, as well as those of our customersÂ
What you bring:
- A deep understanding of the barriers faced by justice-impacted candidates and experience supporting talent in overcoming those barriersÂ
- In depth knowledge of fair and inclusive hiring best practicesÂ
- Experience in facilitating group discussions and trainings
- 3+ years of experience in workforce development or related experience
- Proven success at developing and maintaining trusting relationships with vulnerable populations, community based organizations and internal stakeholders
- Experience building new programs with proven ability to hit success metrics
- Strong communication skills that enable collaboration and stakeholder buy-in
- Highly comfortable navigating a high growth organization

The base salary for this position will vary based on geography and other factors. In accordance with Colorado law, the base salary for this role if filled within Colorado is $135,830 - $159,800.Â
