Who you are:
As a FBS Investment Services Manager, you will be responsible for managing production activities of a segment of Frost Brokerage Services sales staff that are within an assigned region. You will help bring value to the organization by providing input to strategic planning and business development efforts.
You have a servant leadership mindset and passion for people and are not afraid to answer questions and provide guidance to sales staff, escalating issues as needed. More than that, this role is about building relationships and doing so with integrity, caring, and excellence in mind.
What you'll do:
- Manage sales staff within an assigned region. Oversee effort, activity, and revenue goals in order to maintain a high level of profitable sales.
- Conduct regular visits and meetings with sales staff aimed at increasing production levels and maintaining a high level of performance.
- Establish and implement sales goals. Monitor activity reports to analyze results, trends, and key performance indicators.
- Develop sales ability of staff members by proposing and implementing strategies and best practices that align with firm objectives.
- Act as a facilitator between sales staff and Frost partners. Ensure cross-sale opportunities are maximized.
- Participate in joint sales calls. Address any customer concerns and assist with gathering additional information as needed.
- Remain aware of potential compliance issues. Work with compliance and management to address customer concerns and problems.
- Maintain professional and technical knowledge by attending educational events. Establish a strong professional network and participate in professional societies.
- In the event of new or changing product offerings, work with wholesalers to conduct educational events that meets the training needs of sales staff.
- Exercise the usual authority of a manager concerning staffing, performance appraisals, promotions, salary recommendations, and terminations.
- Perform all other duties as assigned
What you'll need:
- 1+ years management experience in securities and insurance, or 3+ years experience in annuities and securities with some management experience.
- Group I General Lines Agent License: Life, Accident, Health, HMO plus Variable Contacts Agent, or the ability to obtain within 90 days.
- Excellent coaching, development, and training skills.
- FINRA Series 7 and 63 licenses (or ability to obtain within 120 days of hire).
- FINRA Series 9/10 or 24 license (or ability to obtain within 120 days of hire).
- Ability to travel occasionally.
Additional Preferred Skills:
- CFP and CWS designations
- Experience working with or in a bank environment
