Feature Analyst

ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS:

• Work with design engineers to define and create new features and options as well as maintaining existing features and options using Blue Bird in-house systems.
• Create new feature and routing items in Blue Bird's Product Lifecycle Management (PLM) system.
• Interpret Engineering instructions to define and maintain the Boolean feature compatibility equations in Blue Bird bus ordering systems.
• Create and maintain Market availability data using Blue Bird in-house applications.
• Collaborate with Blue Bird Sales, Engineering, and Operations personnel to establish and maintain the Standard Equipment Tables for each product and application.
• Conduct bus order searches as needed to support engineering project completion.
• Serve as a backup as needed for Sales Analyst and Bill of Material Analyst as needed to ensure business continuity and support our customers.

KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND ABILITIES:

• At least 2 years work experience in an office environment, some production or manufacturing experience a plus.
• Strong interpersonal skills to building relationships, influence others, collaboratively solve problems, and partner effectively with key internal stakeholders.
• Ability to analyze complex data and engineering documents.
• Computer proficiency and ability to quickly learn and use Blue Bird in-house systems.
• Rational decision making and problem-solving skills.
• Strong project management skills with a keen attention to detail.
• Demonstrated intellectual curiosity and comfort with ambiguity.
• Strong and consistent personal ethics and a high sense of integrity.
• Knowledge of automotive, truck, or bus systems, components, and construction preferred.
• Past experience in technology or manufacturing-oriented industries will be an advantage preferred.
• Experience with computer programing and technical writing preferred.

EDUCATION AND/OR TRAINING:

• Associate or Bachelor's degree in Business, Computer Science, Engineering, or a related discipline.
