Your Impact: 
As Axon’s Federal Major Account Executive, you will be responsible for assisting with the development and execution of the go-to-market strategy, solution generation, and sale of Axon’s software and hardware solutions into Federal markets. You will heavily work with, and impact, multiple components of the Department of Homeland Security (DHS) as well as multiple agencies within the Department of Justice (DOJ). 

This role reports to the Director of Federal Sales, Major Accounts  
 
 
What You Do: 

  • Develop business strategies to capture the qualified opportunities 
  • Execute the strategy – including but not limited to – customer engagement and opportunity shaping, execution of bids and proposals, demos and or presentations, etc. 
  • Ultimately ensuring the successful win with the customer  
  • Partner with Axon’s Federal team to help establish and execute the customer contact plan, strengthen customer relationships, determine key decision makers, and to capture pertinent customer needs  
  • Help develop and execute the Federal market’s short, mid, and long-term strategies 
  • Establish and drive marketing campaign plans for the Federal market with messaging and themes for tradeshows, conferences, publications, etc.  
  • Provide accurate and timely long-term forecasting of business  

What You Bring: 

  • Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent experience 
  • 8+ Years in cradle to grave federal or law enforcement sales with emphasis in opportunity capture management and proposal development 
  • Experience with selling direct and into government contract vehicles 
  • Experience using Salesforce as your client relationship management tool 
  • Experience working with and understanding of Government agencies and customers (DHS & DOJ preferred) 
  • Extensive knowledge of federal acquisition regulations and federal government budgeting processes 
  • Clear, concise, and direct communication skills briefing senior business executives and customers 
  • Proven ability to provide accurate long-range forecasting of revenues, orders, and margins for your book of business

The Pay: The compensation for this role is made up of uncapped commissions and a starting base pay between USD 50,000 in the lowest geographic market and USD 130,000 in the highest geographic market. On average, the national commissions target for this role is 150,000 USD. The actual base pay is dependent upon many factors, such as: experience, training, transferable skills, work experience, business needs and geographic market demands and often a combination of all these factors.
