Your Role and Responsibilities
Provide Atlassian Suite subject matter expertise for the Federal Hybrid Cloud Transformation team and administer the Atlassian suite of tools on a client engagement. The suite consists of: Jira: Project and Issue Tracking Confluence: DocumentCollaboration BitBucket: Git Code management Bamboo: Integration and ReleaseManagement Crucible: Collaborative Code Review FishEye: Search Track and visualizecode changes TestRail: Test Case management (integrated to JIRA)

Responsibilities include the administration maintenance and optimization of the Atlassian suite solution ensuring its seamless operation across the authority.
Install configure and maintain Atlassian software and hardware components.
Create and manage user accounts access levels and permissions within the Atlassian system.
Monitor system performance conduct routine audits and generate reports to ensure compliance with security policies and regulations.
Implement security patches updates and upgrades to maintain system integrity and prevent vulnerabilities.
Create and maintain integrations with other systems include CNL PeopleSoft and other WMATA systems.
Develop and maintain documentation for system configurations procedures and troubleshooting guidelines.
Provide timely technical support and guidance to end-users security personnel and stakeholders.
Escalate complex issues to vendors or higher-level support teams when necessary and follow up until resolution.
Recommend and implement improvements upgrades and new features to align with evolving security requirements and industry best practices

Required Technical and Professional Expertise

  • 7-10 years of experience as a system administrator with a focus on Atlassian solutions.
  • Atlassian product certification especially ACP-100 Jira Administration for Data Center ACP-120 Jira Administration for Cloud and Atlassian Cloud Organization Admin
  • Proficiency in configuring and troubleshooting Atlassian software and hardware components.
  • Strong understanding of network infrastructure protocols and security principles.
  • Experience with SQL Server
  • Experience managing large enterprise systems with HA and DR
  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced environment.
  • Effective communication skills both verbal and written.


Preferred Technical and Professional Expertise
Other relevant certifications (e.g. agile project management cloud technologies etc.) are advantageous.
