The Federal Reserve is developing a new interbank 24x7x365 real-time gross settlement (RTGS) service with integrated clearing functionality, called the FedNow service. This service will help enable financial institutions provide their customers with the ability to send and receive payments any time, any day, and have full access to those funds within seconds. This position is a unique opportunity to be part of a new mission-critical Federal Reserve initiative that will be transformative to the payments landscape in the United States.
A requirement of this position is that the employee must be fully vaccinated (1 or 2 dose shot) and boosted, against COVID-19 or qualify for an accommodation from the Bank's vaccination policy; individuals who are unable to be vaccinated due to a medical condition or sincerely held religious belief may request an accommodation from the Bank.
This job is eligible for remote work anywhere in the United States.
Position Contributions -
The Fraud Solution Product Manager will be a subject matter expert on features and functionality of the FedNow service and will be responsible for strategy and execution of product and go-to-market activities. The product manager will need to understand the instant payments ecosystem, key players, competitive landscape, and product strategy and represent the product team to support marketing, sales, and industry readiness teams and efforts.

- Oversee and manage the life cycle for products and services, from strategy to maintenance and from release to retirement.
- Collaborate with and manage stakeholders, ensuring their voices are heard during roadmap development and that they are aware of upcoming products, features and services.
- Conduct market and user research and leverage product analytics to gather quantitative and qualitative data to make informed product roadmap and requirements recommendations and decisions.
- Select and manage vendors and 3rd-party services.
- Develop go-to-market strategies and build launch plans in close collaboration with teams such as Product Marketing to position products to drive product adoption.
What will be expected of you -
- Serve as the product manager to support the end-to-end product management life cycle, including providing input into product road map and strategies, writing high level requirements, reviewing business design documents, drafting customer communications, and coordinating implementation activities
- Be the voice of the customer, influencing the enterprise to drive solutions that solve market problems.
- Become a subject matter expert on the FedNow service
- Represent the FedNow product team in workstreams and activities related to sales, marketing, industry inquiries, regulatory inquiries, workgroups, and industry events.
- Provide expertise for product to support sales, marketing, industry inquiries, regulatory inquiries, workgroups, and industry events, as required
- Support and advise regarding analytical work, modeling and decision-making for product and pricing initiatives
- Ability to work independently in a remote team environment and to proactively identify product opportunities that arise related to business trends and market developments
- Communicate project progress, findings, risks, output and deployment plans
- Ability to manage competing priorities and work under tight deadlines while providing high quality results
- Detail-oriented and capable self-starter with the ability to explore innovative ways to perform tasks in an efficient and timely manner as an individual and in a team environment
Expertise you would bring -
- 5+ years of experience in fraud mitigation or payment systems, whether in financial services or other industries
- 5+ years of hands-on product management experience collaborating closely with cross-functional stakeholders
- Ability to adjust to quickly changing priorities. Proactive and intentional learner willing to quickly understand new systems and methods.
- Bachelor's degree in finance, business administration, marketing, data or related field or a combination of commensurate education and experience
- Extensive experience gathering and transforming requirements into a successful product strategy
- Experience in Agile software development
- Experience managing external vendors preferred
- Experience managing full product lifecycle from customer problem definition, solution identification, and execution/launch
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills; ability to use data and metrics to back up assumptions and evaluate outcomes; ability to quickly gather, analyze and synthesize complex information
- Strong written and oral communication skills

- May include remote working arrangements and some required travel, which will vary during project phases
