The Fiduciary Associate, in conjunction with Fiduciary Officers, is a highly skilled support specialist for fiduciary investment and account administration including operations, investment management, new business acquisition, and sound trust and estate principles. In addition to providing administrative support to Fiduciary Officer(s), the Fiduciary Associate may administer fiduciary accounts and serve as the primary relationship contact for assigned accounts.
Primary Responsibilities
- Assists with the acceptance, administration, and termination of trusts for all assigned accounts. In conjunction with Fiduciary Officer, serves as the primary relationship manager for less complex accounts.
- Understand the needs and requirements of assigned accounts; governing instrument, cash requirements for distributions, future liquidity needs and works with Fiduciary Officer to anticipate tax consequences.
- Works with Fiduciary Officers and Wealth Advisors to understand new and changing client and trust structures to ensure proper administration in accordance with the trust or governing document.
- Handles all aspects of trust and estate administration, including:
- a. Marshalling assets and arranging for their valuation as necessary, including ensuring proper paperwork is completed and verified for transfers, etc;
- b. Paying bills, updating the billing and service providers, and computing and disbursing beneficiary distributions;
- c. the preparation of formal and informal estate and trust accountings, including ensuring proper coding and information is provided on statements.
- Maintains a general knowledge of tax rules and will assist in timely delivery of tax reporting to clients of the bank. Ensures that transactions in accounts under their direct administration are given proper tax codes.
- Serves as the administrative contact for clients and third-party providers in the servicing of client accounts and relationships.
- Attends client and prospect meetings, as necessary, as an integral member of the support team when deemed appropriate.
- Researches questions from internal business partners relative to accounts and transactions and consults with Fiduciary Officers and/or Wealth Advisors regarding more complex issues.
- Coordinates with Fiduciary Officer and/or Wealth Advisors to complete assigned account administrative reviews and timely exception remediation.
- Performs general administrative support for the department as assigned including assisting Wealth Advisors and other Wealth Assistants as needed.
- Completes annual E-Learning Plan and Bank Secrecy Act (BSA) training as assigned and keeps up-to-date knowledge of BSA as it relates to the job function.

Qualifications
- Associates Business Administration/Management required
- Bachelors Business Administration/Management or
- related field required
- 1-3 years experience supporting wealth management professionals and/or experience in a law office supporting trusts and estates. required
- 3-5 years professional office experience. required
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Excellent time management skills with a proven ability to meet deadlines.
- Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office applications with the ability to learn new or updated software.
- Ability to communicate basic investment principles and market conditions to clients or increasing the ability through active learning.
- Ability to support and receive instruction and direction from multiple staff members.
- Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment.

The targeted salary for this role is:
$54,351.00 - $70,656.00
You may also be offered incentive compensation, and benefits. Compensation may vary and is based on geographic location of the specific role as well as the skills and experiences of the selected candidate.
