The Customer Engagement (CE) team is our field based, customer facing organization consisting of Technical Engagement Managers and Application Engineers. The team partners closely with our customers to provide a comprehensive portfolio of products, software, and expertise, to help customers manage yield throughout their fabrication process—from research and development to final volume production. Responsibilities of this group include maintaining strategic client relationships, partnering with our sales team in identifying and closing sales opportunities, ensuring our products meet performance capabilities & expectations, providing critical solutions for improved yield performance, and collecting requirements for future products by understanding customer processes and technology trends. Partnering with our sales organization and factory divisions, this diverse and dynamic team helps ensure alignment between customer needs and product offerings to maintain a high level of customer satisfaction.

Job Description

We are looking for an Applications Engineer, based in Grenoble (FR) or Agrate (IT), to support our European customers, develop new BKM’s in order to increase product adoption, lead project activity at customer sites and drive pre-sales and post-sales activities for our overlay measurement platform.

Major Responsibilities include:

✓ Provide technical applications support for the development and implementation of KLA overlay products at European customers fabrication facilities.

✓ Makes presentations on all aspects of products and provides customer trainings.

✓ Drive product adoption at customer sites.

✓ Collaborate closely with overlay divisional team and local Business Unit to achieve KLA business goals.

Technical Skills:

✓ Experiences in optical metrology is a benefit.

✓ Understanding of how to use statistics to derive significant results.

✓ Have creative thinking approach to deal with new customer challenges.

✓ Willingness to travel up to 50% of time.

Basic Qualifications:

✓ Master Degree in Materials Science, Physics or Electronics/Electrical engineering or an equivalent education in a related field, PhD is a plus.

✓ Languages: fluent English, French or Italian is a plus

✓ 3 years of semiconductor IC fab experience would be beneficial. Statistic software (eg. JMP) knowledge is a plus.

✓ Driving license
