Field Engineer Associate

Redaptive is looking for a self-motivated, passionate, and collaborative Field Engineer Associate to work closely with our growing team based in the US & India. The Field Engineer Associate will collaborate with multiple teams such as the Meter Operations and Maintenance, Solutions, Product, Energy Engineering, and Data Analytics teams. We are looking for someone who thrives in a fast-paced environment and can leverage his/her judgment to make decisions and display empathy and resilience.

Job Responsibilities

• Verify or correct the quality of energy data after energy meters are installed in customer buildings
• Review close-out documentation to ensure proper meter installation.
• Define corrective actions for meter installation errors.
• Define corrective actions for commissioning and configuration errors.
• Review our automated data failure reports, identify the cause of the failures using your electrical engineering skills, and propose solutions to enable accurate energy data.
• Build logic for automated data failure reports
• Support installation of energy meters by 3rd party electricians
• Provide technical support to installers of electrical systems, energy meters, and data networking systems.
• Verify installer compliance with installation and safety protocols.
• Verify accuracy and completion of metering and networking hardware installations
• Deliver installation support primarily by phone or email
• Build logic for automated installation quality checking
• Support maintenance of energy meters
• Review probable causes of offline meters and faulty meters 
• Create scope of work for offline meter and faulty meter rectification
• Deliver maintenance support primarily by phone or email
• Typical working hours will be 3pm-11pm IST to provide requisite coverage for our US field technicians.
• Training, documentation, and mentoring will be provided to educate you about our products, processes, technologies, and data tools.

Education and Experience

• Bachelor’s Degree or master's degree in electrical engineering.
• Advanced practical knowledge of electrical parameters i.e., power quality, harmonics, power factor, phase angle, active power, reactive power, etc.
• Technical knowledge of commercial electrical panels, switches, and wiring.
