Job Description

A Field Manager’s primary role is to oversee installation or maintenance teams in a designated area or city. Managers will be focused on creating a positive work environment, the successful completion of scheduled work, ensuring quality standards and procedures are being met, coordinating directly with other field and support teams (Scheduling, NOC, FOS, etc.)

Duties and Responsibilities

● Manage day to day completion of installation and maintenance work.

● Provide leadership and coaching to individual team members.

● Work closely with the scheduling departments to maximize route and job completion efficiency.

● Closely monitor team safety and quality standards.

● Build and maintain a positive work environment for all employees.

● Regularly work on ladders and rooftops to assist with installs, service calls and site inspections.

● Hold daily and weekly team meetings.

● Assist in on call rotations for network outages and troubleshooting support as needed.

● Closely monitor teams’ fleet and truck inventory levels.

● Perform new hire interviews.

● Communicate and report regularly with company leadership.

● Closely monitor expenses and material usage.

● Assist with developing and changing processes and policies directly related to field personnel.

● Deliver training for current and new employees.

● Travel to other areas on occasion to assist in opening new markets as needed.

Qualifications

● Previous leadership experience preferably in a field leadership role, telecommunications or trades is required (ISP, Wireless ISP, Satellite TV, Cable).

● Bachelor’s or Associate degree or degree from trade school or similar work-related experience in telecommunications or trades

● Ability to respond quickly to escalated issues that arise from the field.

● Strong leadership, organizational, time management skills.

● Ability to work independently and complete assignments with limited direction.

● Excellent verbal and written communication skills.

● Excellent training, coaching and presentation skills.

● Knowledge of RF communications, devices, computers and networking is preferred.

● Experience with relevant software applications, (Microsoft Office/ Google Suite)

● Lift up to 75 lbs on a regular basis.

● Climb ladders and rooftops.
