What you'll do:
We are hiring a Field Marketing Associate to join our Field Marketing team to oversee agriculture-related tradeshows, conferences and industry events in the Midwest and Southeast. This role will be responsible for planning, coordinating and managing Sound’s successful involvement in designated regional and national events, including all exhibit needs, booth activities and giveaways, lead generation planning and execution, staffing, and housing. In addition to being responsible for events taking place in states within the Midwest and Southeast regions, this role will also support national events that take place throughout the United States.
The Field Marketing Associate will play a critical role by helping to build brand awareness and inbound leads for our product line, focusing on the farmer and ag dealer audiences. The position will work closely with our Sr. Field Marketing Associate to identify ways to maximize opportunities at each event, while meticulously executing our involvement. In addition, this role will collaborate closely with the broader corporate marketing team, as well as product marketing, sales and agronomy to stay educated on data and product news, as well as ensure events are promoted for optimal outcomes. The ideal candidate will be highly organized, detail oriented, and passionate about being part of a leading sustainable agriculture company.
This is a remote position based in the Midwestern or Southeastern part of the U.S. with a travel expectation of 40%. The role reports to the VP of Corporate Marketing and Communications.
Responsibilities
- Own end-to-end planning, coordination and execution of industry trade shows and conferences
- Manage, track, and deliver within event marketing budget
- Coordinate event staffing requirements and logistics; host staff briefings for all events to ensure team members are set up for success
- Manage relationships with 3rd party agencies and exhibit companies to support all event needs: booth, collateral, audio visual, rentals, shipping, etc
- Manage inbound lead generation and fast upload for sales team follow-through
- Work closely with product and corporate marketing teams to develop and distribute event promotions and communications
- Create and manage all event activities and timelines supporting our sales team within the Midwest and Southeast
- Work cross functionally with teams to develop creative assets needed for events
- Attend and staff events, acting as the lead onsite coordinator
Targeted Skills & Experience
- Passion, dedication, and enthusiasm for sustainable agriculture
- Experience working in agriculture with an understanding of the grower mindset
- Understanding of how to successfully manage tradeshows and events, including large booth design, exhibit setup and onsite coordination
- Ability to maintain calm and composed under pressure and the capacity to make quick and thoughtful decisions
- Experience collaborating with and managing agencies, contractors, and vendors a plus
- Excellent project management and communications skills
- Extremely organized and detail oriented
- Ability to outline clear and measurable goals for events, ensuring that they map to overarching goals of the company
- Ability to adapt to a rapidly changing business environment while working with a certain level of ambiguity
- Self starter and motivator, with high standards for the best quality of work
- Positive attitude under pressure
