The Field Marketing Lead is a unique opportunity to grow and expand all field marketing efforts, including our newly created Brand Ambassador program, while leading sampling strategy, demo programs, and events across the country to increase sales at 4600+ retail stores.

We started Verb as three undergraduate students to make people feel incredible by delivering energy in a healthy, convenient, and delightful way, and now we are one of the fastest-growing food and beverage brands in the country. We make delicious energy products that we sell via text message and online (www.verbenergy.co). Today we’re selling in 4600+ storefronts and now we’re looking to work with fantastic people like you to change the way people get their energy and to bring more humanity to how companies interact with people.

Our customers use Verb products daily, whether it's for a pre-workout energy boost, a breakfast-plus-coffee on the go, or to beat the afternoon slump. Our flagship product is a line of energy bars with as much caffeine as an espresso, and we are in the process of rolling out new products. Verb products are gluten-free & vegan, and we’ve worked hard to ensure they are always delicious, healthy, and provide an outstanding energy effect.

Verb Energy is looking for our first Field Marketing hire to:

• Develop and execute a comprehensive brand ambassador program to increase brand awareness and drive customer engagement in the field
• Lead the planning and implementation of sampling strategies, demo programs, and events to effectively promote Verb Energy as a challenger brand in the market.
• Recruit, train, and manage a team of part-time brand ambassadors to represent and promote Verb Energy products through demos and sampling.
• Do market-specific research to find relevant events and locations where our team should be doing sampling (i.e. marathons, sporting events, concerts, festivals, college campuses)
• Analyze data and metrics to measure the effectiveness of field marketing initiatives and make data-driven decisions for future campaigns.
• Implement new tracking software for the Brand Ambassador program.
• Foster strong relationships with brand ambassadors, customers, and key stakeholders to enhance brand loyalty and advocacy.
• Travel to key markets to work with brand ambassadors in the field or oversee larger events
• Occasionally onboard and manage third-party merchandising or sampling agencies.

This is the right match if:

• You have 3+ years of experience building and/or managing a Field Marketing team
• Strong analytical skills drive your decision-making through your ability to use data to optimize field marketing strategies.
• Excellent interpersonal and communication skills energize those around you and you have a passion for engaging with people to promote the Verb Energy brand.
• High energy and enthusiastic approaches to building relationships and representing the brand at events and demonstrations come easily to you.
• You have proven experience in leading and managing remote, part-time teams; including recruitment, training, and performance management.
• Your management and coordination of events, activations, and partnerships have maximized brand exposure and customer acquisition in the past.
• Working in a fast-paced, scrappy environment motivates you to multitask and prioritize effectively.
• Creative thinking and problem-solving skills have helped you develop innovative field marketing initiatives.
• Staying updated on market trends and competitor activities is a principal task in your role to keep a pulse on the energy & wellness industry.
• You enjoy engaging directly with consumers and working events.
• You own a car and are willing to travel up to 50% of the time.
