About the Marketing Team

You’d be joining as one of Playground’s first five marketing hires which means no established playbook no inherited clunk and no ceiling on what you can build. What exists today is a product customers genuinely love strong company momentum and a real opportunity to define what marketing looks like at one of the fastest-growing companies in early childhood education.

Marketing at Playground is a growth and revenue function. We don’t run campaigns for awareness alone or invest in brand for the sake of narrative. Everything we do has a measurable outcome and every marketer carries a revenue goal. For the right person that clarity is energizing — you always know what winning looks like.

We’re looking for marketers with deep expertise in one or two disciplines who can also think strategically structure their own work and build something net new from scratch. We value analytical thinkers who are curious enough to experiment and creative enough to make those experiments land. At the end of the day we care about results not org charts.

About the Role

As the Field Marketing Lead at Playground you will build and own field marketing across North America at both the state and national levels. You will establish the programs infrastructure and measurement frameworks that drive pipeline and revenue partnering closely with Sales to ensure every field investment is accountable.

This role owns a significant portion of demand generation pipeline and plays a key role in shaping messaging and positioning by testing what resonates directly with buyers. It is a high-ownership build-from-scratch role where you are responsible for the full program lifecycle — from strategy and alignment to execution and attribution.

This role is based in New York City and is full-time in office.

What You’ll Do
  • Own a large share of demand generation pipeline including field-sourced and field-influenced revenue targets

  • Establish measurement frameworks including lead scoring attribution models ROI reporting and post-event analysis

  • Manage regional budgets with strong financial discipline and ROI focus

  • Own end-to-end strategy planning and execution of field events including executive dinners roundtables workshops conferences and roadshows

  • Evaluate and select high-impact third-party events and design activation strategies

  • Manage sponsorships venues speakers and vendor relationships

  • Build and manage the regional field marketing calendar in close alignment with Sales and leadership

  • Develop scalable repeatable playbooks that consistently drive pipeline

  • Test and refine messaging and product positioning through direct buyer interaction and feedback loops

  • Partner closely with Sales and BDR teams on targeting outreach and event follow-up strategies

What You Need
  • 7+ years of experience in field marketing or event marketing within B2B SaaS

  • Proven track record of building and scaling field marketing programs from the ground up

  • Demonstrated success driving pipeline and revenue through field programs

  • Deep cross-functional experience working with Sales BDRs ABM and demand generation teams

  • Strong project management skills with the ability to manage multiple programs and stakeholders across regions

  • Highly self-directed and execution-oriented with a strong sense of ownership

  • Comfortable working with marketing and CRM tools such as Salesforce HubSpot or similar platforms

Nice to Have
  • Experience with account-based marketing (ABM) and tight sales-marketing alignment

  • Experience launching or scaling field marketing in new regions

Compensation

Base salary: $140000 – $175000

Job level and compensation will be determined based on individual qualifications experience and scope of the role.
