Summary
The Field Service Technician is responsible for the installation, service, and maintenance of computer-based integrated electronic security systems including access control, video, camera, intrusion detection, intercom, and other alarm systems. This role will be onsite 5 days a week at O'Hare Airport.

Summary
The Field Service Technician is responsible for the installation, service, and maintenance of computer-based integrated electronic security systems including access control, video, camera, intrusion detection, intercom, and other alarm systems. This role will be onsite 5 days a week at O'Hare Airport.
Responsibilities:
- Conduct reviews of assets on the O'Hare campus similar to an inventory, by capturing key asset data (i.e., location, type of asset, etc.) and applying a physical asset tag to the asset.
- Collects, Maintains, and updates asset data for client operations.
- Follows company policies and procedures.
- Creates documentation for project activity audit trail.
- Troubleshoots minor problems.
- Assists in research for solutions to minor problems.
- Pursues continuous learning and shares knowledge with others.
Requirements:
- Knowledge of maintenance for large equipment such as pumps, air handlers, motors is a plus.
- Knowledge of the principles of electricity and electronics.
- Basic knowledge of generally accepted technical (electronic) theory.
- Detail oriented
- Electronic System Installation; and troubleshooting skills.
- Basic knowledge of networking hardware.
- Must have a driver's license in good standing and be able to pass a written driving test for airport driving.
- Required to work on call and extra hours as needed at both O'Hare and Midway Airports.
- Demonstrate good analytical capability and current technical knowledge.
- Ability to interpret and work from blueprints, drawings, and technical documentation.
- Good Interpersonal and organizational skills.
- Familiar with Microsoft Office Applications (Word, Outlook, Excel, etc.).
- Able to interact and collaborate with others in a team environment.
- Good analytic ability.
- Open-minded/willing to learn - good attitude.
- Able to walk long distances, climb ladders, work in tight spaces, comfortable with heights and outdoor work.
- Required to work on-call and extra hours as needed.
- Must demonstrate the ability to work independently or as part of a team.
- The ability to operate a scissor/boom lift is a plus.
- Must pass approval procedure for IDFPR PERC.
- Must pass approval for airport badge.
- Must pass approval for Custom and Border Protection airport access.
