BHS Robotics is seeking a Field Service Technician to join our growing team in our Hanover Park, IL facility!
Job Description:
The Field Service Technician will be traveling regularly to install, program, troubleshoot, repair, and service equipment in the corrugated paper industry, along with robotics applications, and general automation solutions.

Time not spent traveling will be spent in our Hanover Park, IL facility will include:
- Assisting the mechanical and electrical build groups
- Working on electrical prints, BOMs, and programs for upcoming projects
- Providing remote support to our customers
Job Responsibilities:
- Install, configure, and startup drive and motor upgrade, especially in corrugated paper plants
- Install, program, startup, and modify automation solutions and upgrades using technologies including:
- Robotics
- PLCs and HMIs
- Vision tools
- Install electrical, network, mechanical, hydraulic, and pneumatic components
- Perform maintenance tasks and inspections
- Troubleshoot and resolve issues remotely and onsite
- Assist with design, BOM creation, program development, and runoffs
- Create documentation for and instruct users in the use of their new and upgraded equipment
- Support end users and coworkers, as well as sales, electrical build, and mechanical build teams
- Provide occasional on-call emergency support to customers
- Ensure work is done safely and equipment conforms to safety standards
- Thoroughly test equipment and processes for quality and completeness
- Promptly submit accurate service and expense reports
The Ideal Candidate:
- Has a Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience in a technical discipline
- Has experience in the corrugated paper, robotics, or general automation industries
- Has two or more years of relevant engineering experience
- Has experience with AutoCAD Electrical, Studio 5000, RSLogix, FactoryTalk View, Cognex In-Sight Explorer, Red Lion Crimson, ABB Pickmaster, and Yaskawa PalletSolver
- Is willing and able to be trained on new software and technologies
- Has experience working with electrical, network, hydraulic, and pneumatic systems
- Has experience with Allen Bradley ProFlex and/or other variable frequency drives
- Works well both independently and as part of a team
- Is thorough and detail oriented
- Has excellent oral and written communication skills
- Can read electrical, pneumatic, and hydraulic schematics
- Is skilled using Microsoft Windows, Word, Excel, and Outlook
- Has the ability to stand, walk, reach, bend, and lift up to 50 pounds

This is a full-time time position offering $32-$38/hour BOE + full benefits as seen below!
