Overview of the Role

This role will be an integral part of Wayspring's Finance & Accounting team. Responsibilities will include helping to manage our monthly reporting and quarterly budgeting processes, partnering with department leads on various analyses, as well as providing consistent support to our Accounting and Strategic Finance groups. The role will provide growth opportunities for personal and career development including regular interaction with the CFO, as well as significant exposure to executive leadership. Our ideal candidate will be eager to learn and take on significant responsibility at a rapidly growing company.

This position will report to the Director of Strategic Finance.

Responsibilities

  • Support in the execution of the quarterly budget process and monthly close with Accounting
  • Assist in maintaining monthly financial forecasting model and operational reporting
  • Work with Strategic Finance team to analyze new initiatives and track operational KPIs
  • Partner with executive team and department leadership to create ad hoc analyses
  • Continue to develop and evolve financial and reporting processes

Requirements

  • Ideal candidate has at least 1-2 years working as a Finance Analyst
  • Previous experience in FP&A at a start-up or PE-backed company is highly preferred
  • Strong analytical and presentation abilities, including advanced Excel and PowerPoint skills
  • Experience with financial reporting (BI reporting and analytics experience is a plus)
  • Must be energetic, highly motivated, creative, and eager to learn
  • Detail-oriented with the ability to work on multiple, competing priorities
