Job Description

The Financial Analyst II focus on revenue reporting by preparing monthly journal entries and financial statements in accordance with GAAP. Other responsibilities would include creating quarterly and annual statutory statements and performing bank and account reconciliations. This position will also research and apply accounting standards and regulatory requirements. The Financial Analyst will assist in the completion of the annual financial audit, regulatory audits, and preparation of the taxes.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree with a major in Finance, Accounting, or equivalent experience in a related field
  • 3 years of experience within an accounting, finance, or closely related role
  • Proficient with Excel to include some advanced features to support daily work tasks (Able to run Pivot tables, VLOOKUP, SUM and IF Statements)

Additional Skills:

  • Proficient in Accounting and Finance principles and processes
  • Strong attention to detail - ability to carefully review and evaluate financial and non-financial datasets
  • Able to find discrepancies using historically related data and reports and create solutions
  • Strong management skills and ability to balance multiple projects while adhering to strict deadlines
  • Ability to work independently and manage daily tasks while also contributing to a positive team environment
  • Prior experience with tax or statutory reporting is helpful, but not required

This position is a Hub role, which requires an employee to occasionally come onsite to the designated office - Minnetonka, MN or Madison, WI - for applicable heads-up work. Frequency is determined by business need as decided by leadership.
