Description:
The Financial Analyst is responsible for a variety of critical tasks related to the monthly management and data entry of various pricing responsibilities as well credit card administration. This position will also provide critical support for the Accounts Payable function and various ad hoc projects throughout the greater Finance Group. This role will have broad visibility throughout many functions within the Company with outstanding and envious opportunity for growth.
Key Responsibilities Include:
Pricing (50%):
- Heavy participation in the revenue portion of the month-end close, which includes cross-functional communication to ensure proper customer billings, extraction of data to support this initiative, and resolution of discrepancies.
- Administration of various rebate calculations to support customer invoices as well as liaise with Accounting Group to ensure proper treatment on Company’s books of record.
- Resolution of discrepancies related to calculation and remittances of intercompany commissions.
- Responsible for document gathering and communication with various internal and external auditors.
- Training of new Commercial Account Managers of existing processes.
- Suggestion and/or implementation of various process improvements.
Credit Card Management (30%):
- Administration of Company’s credit card process, which includes the monitoring of select transactions to ensure compliance with Company policies and to mitigate potential fraudulent charges.
- Training of new credit card holders to ensure adherence to Company policies.
Accounts Payable (10%):
- Serve in a backup capacity for existing Accounts Payable Analyst.
- Reconcile discrepancies between vendor balances due and Company’s A/P Aging Report(s).
Special Projects (10%): Act on various issues or projects, at the discretion of Leader, which promotes cross function communication with various teams throughout the organization (Finance, Commercial, IT, Supply Chain, Customer Service, etc.) and resolution of short-term priorities.
Requirements:
- Bachelor’s degree in Finance-related discipline (will consider Associate’s degree with additional years of experience).
- 0-2 years of professional experience, which can include college internships
- Ability to thrive in a dynamic, fast-paced environment with competing priorities and due dates
- Commitment to work independently in a flexible work environment
- Detail oriented with strong organizational skills
- Willingness to learn the fundamentals of the business and openness to grow into existing or different roles
- Experience with Microsoft Office applications
Preferred Skills:
- Experience with ERP systems (SAP, Oracle, etc.)
- Openness to various automation solutions, including RPA (Robotic Process Automation) and AI (Artificial Intelligence) technology
