The Finance and Accounting Specialist will be an integral part of the finance team at Cape Fear Habitat for Humanity (CFHFH) , responsible for identifying eligible applicants for CFHFH’s Homeownership and Critical Repair program, under the guidance of the Credit and Mortgage Counselor. The Finance and Accounting Specialist will be responsible for all critical finance functions including, but not limited to:
- Screening potential families for eligibility in all programs offered by CFHFH
- Monitoring approved future homeowners during their time in the program
- Recommending appropriate loan products available for loan closings
- Coordinating home closings with all appropriate community partners
- Review loan disclosures and mortgage details with Future Homeowners
- Assist and provide support to the Finance Team as needed
You possess the following REQUIRED skills:
- Minimum two years’ experience in the mortgage industry, consumer lending, financial or accounting services, or a housing setting.
- The ability to work respectfully with people of all cultures
- Strong written and verbal communication skills
- Solid working knowledge of Microsoft Office products
