Finance and Pricing Analyst

Summary

The Finance and Pricing Analyst is a critical contributor to the finance organization, executing and supporting top-line business planning, strategic pricing, management reporting and performance analytics. The Finance and Pricing Analyst, will provide analytical support in forecasting, reporting and analysis of revenue, cost and direct margin, as well as assessing the impact of topline growth on TeleSign’s larger cost structure. The Finance and Pricing Analyst will execute global pricing strategies and help drive revenue growth across the business. Leveraging TeleSign’s vast proprietary data, this person will assist in the development of insights and narratives that will help maximize the financial potential of customer relationships and key business strategies. The Finance and Pricing Analyst will work closely with departments across TeleSign with a special focus on providing analytical and consultative support to customer-facing teams. 

A strong candidate will have significant, hands-on experience with pricing, forecasting, reporting, and financial modeling within the mobile technology industry. A strong candidate must be able to critically analyze data, perform detailed variance analysis, draw insightful conclusions, and be comfortable giving high-impact recommendations. The candidate will be a resourceful, fact-based, strategic thinker with the ability to accurately communicate complex data and nuanced concepts both verbally and visually to audiences at different levels and with different backgrounds within the company. Demonstrated teamwork, strong execution skills, and the ability to react quickly in a fast-paced environment are also essential to success in this position.

Essential Functions

• Attract new business and decrease customer churn by executing Telesign’s pricing strategy including, but not limited to, new product pricing, the development of new pricing models, all pricing for Digital Identity. Work closely with Product, Sales, and Marketing to collect market insights and provide analytical support for GTM decisions.
• Support the broader Finance and Accounting teams with topline insights, analysis and operational support.
• Assist in creating annual budgets, quarterly forecasts, and multi-year plans and analyzing trends.
• Assist with special finance projects and partner with cross-functional departments in preparing analyses including financial modeling of new business ideas, due diligence, and external evaluations.
• Support the adoption of a data-driven decision-making process to support company growth while ensuring the accuracy of data.

Essential Requirements

• 1-3 years of work experience in financial, business, or pricing analytics.
• A degree in a quantitative field – Business Administration, Economics, Mathematics, Statistics, Computer Science, Engineering, Operational Research or a related field is required.
• Strong verbal and written communication skills and English fluency are required.
• Advanced Excel and PowerPoint skills are required.
• Tableau, data visualization tools preferred.
• Ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously and to meet deadlines.
• Critical thinking skills, depth of analysis, and ability to contextualize business situations.
• Direct experience providing analytical support for Sales and Customer Success teams.
• Experience working in mobile technology, with specific exposure to business and pricing strategy for SMS, Voice and Mobile Data products preferred.
