Summary: Reporting to the Finance Controller UK/EU, the Finance Assistant (UK & Europe) will assist with daily accounting activities, analysis and reconciliation of financial data. The function works closely with local finance, supply chain and commercial teams along with our accounting team in Dubai HQ.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

• Work with the business to ensure correct and accurate end-to-end accounting, including cost controls, accruals required and ensure data integrity of information
• Assist in preparing financial reports and support monthly sales reporting, including tracking performance against Budget and Prior Year
• Monitor spend vs budget and working closely with department heads and the sales and marketing controllers.
• Manage monthly reconciliations of travel expenses and fixed asset register
• Managing an end-to-end audit process of current systems
• Provide key support and assistance in the annual budgeting cycle and reforecasting
• Ad hoc project work, analysing complex and detailed financial data

Requirements:

• Previous experience within an accounting environment and/or accounting degree
• Excellent interpersonal skills with the ability to challenge and influence stakeholders
• Proven ability to plan and prioritise own workload to meet tight deadlines
• Advanced skills in Excel
• High standard of accuracy with financial and statistical data
• Proactive, flexible and open to change
• Previous experience of Microsoft Dynamics 365 would be desirable
