Job Description

JPMorgan Chase is seeking a Vice President to join our Technology Business Management team supporting the head of technology for JPMorgan Wealth Management.

As a Vice President within the Business Management team, you will serve as a trusted advisor and counterbalance to Business/Group Heads, taking on the responsibility of identifying, escalating, and mitigating business risks. Your role is dynamic and varies according to the priorities of different business lines. You will be instrumental in optimizing business performance by promoting key initiatives. This high-profile and time-sensitive position plays a crucial role in assisting and advising senior management, as well as coordinating the deployment of the bank's corporate resources to meet strategic and tactical objectives

Job responsibilities:

  • Implement new business strategy, strategic initiatives or platforms, including aligning department and support groups (Finance, Tech, Product & PPO, Ops, Legal, Compliance)
  • Drive executive level communications and reporting across the wealth management technology space
  • Optimize 'bottom line' business performance by driving key initiatives (fees, cost base, RWA and capital utilization, talent, agility)
  • Identify, escalate and mitigate business risks that could impair our ability to do business: e.g. legal, tax, regulatory, capacity issues, extraordinary transaction costs, infrastructure costs
  • Analyze financial performance, including expenses; identify productivity initiatives and drive implementation
  • Partner with the business, Operations and Technology in the definition of future workflows and implementation of related technology and infrastructure projects to prepare the business to meet the requirements of an ever evolving market structure
  • Support key talent initiatives to optimize employee experience and support goals in recruiting
  • Partner with the relevant external service/ infrastructure providers
  • Represent business in respective internal/external working groups

Required qualifications, capabilities and skills:

  • Bachelor's degree in Business, Finance or Economics
  • Previous product knowledge and/or prior Business Management or COO experience
  • Highly motivated self-starter with excellent time management/prioritization skills
  • Present well to senior and global business heads
  • Able to both define and deliver to conclusion a strategic agenda across multiple groups
  • Strong analytical and problem solving skills with ability to analyze large data sets and present conclusions concisely
  • Excellent project management and organizational skills
  • Attention to detail with logical thought process
