Finance Controller

Our web-based software platform puts advanced digital pathology tools together with Paige and third-party AI into the hands of pathologists, while maintaining the highest security and safety standards.

We're seeking an experienced and analytical Finance Controller with strong numerical skills to drive our organization's financial operations and support senior management in the overall Company strategy. 

This role can be hybrid from our NYC office, or fully remote for US candidates based in the ET timezone, if preferred.

The base pay range for New York and California is $200,000-$220,000 per annum. The range may differ in other locations.

Responsibilities 

• Completion of month-end and quarter end book closes in a timely manner 
• Coordinate with and manage external accounting firm providing basic bookkeeping services  
• Oversight of our international PEO payroll service providers and domestic payroll service 
• Analysis of financial projections and budgets for the full company 
• Cashflow management 
• Basic tax and regulatory compliance tasks, and oversight of our outsourced tax specialists 
• Lead year end audit process for US and subsidiaries 
• Ensure the company’s financial practices are in line in statutory regulations and legislation 
• Assist in creating presentations for the SVP of Finance and other key executives 
• Maintain compliance with legal regulations, policies and procedures relating to compliance, and best practices in Finance 

About You  

• Master’s Degree in Accounting or Finance or an advanced degree in accounting, business, finance, or a related field 
• Strong working knowledge of ASC 606, 842 and other relevant accounting standards 
• Strong proficiency in accounting software (preferably Sage Intacct) 
• Several years of experience in a similar role 
• Experience in implementing customer billing and revenue recognition best practices 
• Experience in implementation efficient purchase to pay processes, including managing departmental budgets  
• Experience in multi-entity and currency organizations
