WHO WE ARE LOOKING FOR
We are looking for a skilled finance data and insights manager who has experience with insights using large data sets both financial and cross-functional in nature in product organizations. You bring a passion for using a data and insights to fuel decision making at Nike. You are adept at translating qualitative and quantitative data from a variety of sources into useful insights that improve Nike forecast accuracy and drive margin growth, working across the consumer and marketplace teams. You excel at data analysis and synthesis while being a strong collaborator across teams that are often unfamiliar with analytics. WHAT YOU WILL WORK ON
You will support the North America Finance consumer and marketplace teams by managing multiple analyses while keeping alignment to high-priority global projects. As a key part of this new team, you will use multiple data sources to identify key themes and use those insights to create a compelling, robust understanding of margin forecasting process and margin opportunities for the Nike North America Finance Leadership team. You will pull and interpret data from internal analytics data & external syndicated sources; complete market sizing and competitive analysis; and mine quantitative survey data. You may also partner with our internal research groups and external research agencies to synthesize primary research data. You will work to ensure as North America migrates to the new version of SAP that Financial planning processes remains operational.
WHO YOU WILL WORK WITH
You will partner with the North America Business Planning, Consumer and Marketplace teams at Nike's WHQ Headquarters in Beaverton, Oregon. You will work with the VP CFO, North America and will support North America Finance by identifying margin improvements and improved forecast accuracy. You will also intersect with multiple groups across the business and analytics functions, both in North America and Global to ensure that the data and process is aligned and consistently used and understood.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
- Pull and analyze data from internal Finance data lake
- Partner with Data and Analytics functions (Enterprise Data and Analytics, Commercial Analytics, Consumer Insights) to access relevant data and provide transparency to where data can be combined or complemented
- Pull and analyze data from existing quantitative data sets
- Assist with design, execution and/or data visualization for primary research
- Proactively develop new solutions to elevate the accessibility and use of data across the team and key partners
WHAT YOU BRING
- Bachelor's degree in research, marketing, statistics, analytics or product management or combination of relevant education, experience, and training
- 5-7+ years of experience in finance reporting and analytics
- A history of skill and innovation in synthesizing complex findings, data visualization and storytelling, and client presentation and partnerships
- Ability to manage a portfolio of research projects with multiple business partners in a dynamic and evolving organization; solid project management skills
- Experience with SAP and Point of Sale data
- Survey design and programming experience in self-service platforms
- Fluency in data visualization required
- Familiarity with PowerPoint and advanced Microsoft Excel skills preferred
- Familiarity with current sport, fitness and retail landscape (digital and physical), including key footwear and apparel competitors, emerging trends, and current events
- High attention to detail; excellent written & verbal communication
- Passion for sport
