Finance Data Champion

Job Description:

As a Finance Domain Data Champion at Mars, would be a subject matter expert with deep understanding of the Finance data domain. You will act as the Subject Matter Expert on the Finance Master Data domain and develop the data standards, data models, governance policies for the domain as well as define Data Lifecycle CRUD (Create, Update & Delete) processes. You will work under the guidance & leadership of the Finance Data Officer within the data council to define data & process standards and support data stewardship network to implement & drive adoption of the standards within the region & markets.

What are we looking for?

• Considerable (7+ years) work experience in Data Management & or process governance
• Subject matter expertise in the Finance Domain
• Strong knowledge and experience (3+ years) with SAP Finance Master Data elements including tables and physical data models, other ERPs a plus
• Experienced and capable to envision, model and optimize complex, yet efficient business processes, data and workflows across a large ecosystem
• Proven leadership skills, managing relationships with business stakeholders
• Demonstrated ability to work cross functional and solid communication skills
• Ability to travel flexibly globally (up to 1 week every 2-3 months)
• Fluent in spoken and written English, any additional language is an advantage

What would be your key responsibilities?

• The Finance Data Champion will define governance standards for the specific data domain and works with the Finance Data Officer on approvals of the same. The Governance standards can include Structure, Policies, CRUD, RACI, Processes, KPI's etc. related to that data domain.
• Identify & document the link between data attributes (core product, executional) and related business function to allow the implementation of system supported workflow solutions in market and supply units. E.g. how GL accounts affects OTC business process.
• Define the CRUD data process for respective domains aligned to various business processes such as New Product Introduction, Order to Cash, Record to Report etc.
• Define and document the definitions, conceptual, logical and physical data model of the Finance Master data elements.
• Serve as the translator between business and technology teams to maximize and deliver value through tools and systems.
• Validate configuration of Finance data on the Master Data Systems (MDG, Info Steward, workflows)
• Own and deliver approved small / medium size projects to deploy or improve workflow in business units.
