Job Description
The Director of Corporate FP&A will be a key member of the Sabre Finance team and responsible for providing decision support to the Executive Leadership Team to achieve short and long-term strategic and financial goals. This role will report directly to the VP of Finance. You will serve as a strategic business partner to the business, as well as be responsible for managing the financial cadence of the organization. The role is ideal for a seasoned professional who is comfortable rolling up their sleeves to capture, present and utilize pertinent data to drive better business decisions. This role will lead and manage a support team of financial analysts.
Specific responsibilities include:
- Lead the financial cadence for the organization, including the Planning, Close, Forecast and Cash Flow cycles
- Responsible for financial reporting to the Executive Leadership Team and the Board of Directors
- Key partner to the CFO in developing financial strategies to achieve the multi-year outlook goals and objectives
- Focus on process improvement for the FP&A organization resulting in increased time for financial analysis
- Collaborate with finance and business partners to deliver financial objectives; oversee monthly P&L reviews; identify trends driving positive and negative variances to plan
- Manage financial analyses and operating metrics that can be used to identify opportunities to improve operational performance
- Provide monthly financial reporting to business partners, and assist in identifying risks and opportunities to meet/exceed financial targets
- Ability to work on complex issues or situations across scope of responsibility
- Lead departmental initiatives in continuous improvement of financial processes and the development of the team to achieve best practices
Job Requirements
Professional Experience/Qualifications:
- Self-starter capable of driving business results without significant supervision
- Highly analytical approach, constantly seeks to understand the driver for results
- Successful track record of counseling senior executives and operationalizing business changing initiatives
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills; ability to lead and direct multiple projects simultaneously; ability to effectively delegate work to team members
- Knowledge of revenue recognition, accounting, and cost control principles
Education:
- Bachelor's degree or equivalent, CPA or MBA preferred, plus 8 or more years related experience; minimum 5 years prior management/supervisory experience preferred
