What You'll Do

Teradata is seeking a highly skilled and experienced Finance Director to lead the financial oversight of its Cloud business. This role will be an integral part of helping steer the company's financial strategy with a focus on profitable growth. The ideal candidate is personable, self-motivated and technically proficient as they work alongside stakeholders from across the business.

Responsibilities

  • Financial Strategy & Analysis: Develop and implement robust financial strategies aligned with the company's goals. Conduct in-depth analysis of cloud operations, ARR, and margins to identify trends, opportunities, and areas for improvement.
  • Budgeting & Forecasting: Oversee budgeting, financial forecasting, and modeling. Provide accurate financial forecasts for cloud operations, ensuring alignment with the company's growth targets.
  • Performance Management: Monitor and report on financial performance against budget and forecast, providing insights and recommendations to optimize profitability.
  • Cost Management: Implement effective cost control measures for cloud operations. Drive efficiency and cost savings without compromising service quality.
  • Stakeholder Collaboration: Work closely with cross-functional teams, including IT, sales, and product development, to align financial and business strategies.
  • Compliance & Reporting: Ensure compliance with financial regulations and standards. Prepare and present financial reports to senior management and stakeholders.
  • Team Leadership: Lead, mentor, and develop a high-performing finance team.

Who You'll Work With

  • Provide support to the Sr Vice President of Cloud Operations
  • Collaborate cross-functionally with stakeholders across all areas of Teradata

What Makes You a Qualified Candidate

  • Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, or related field.
  • MBA or relevant advanced degree preferred.
  • Minimum of 10 years of experience in finance, with at least 5 years in a leadership role within a SaaS or technology company.
  • Proven expertise in financial management of cloud operations and a strong understanding of ARR and margin analysis.
  • Exceptional analytical, strategic thinking, and problem-solving abilities.
  • Advanced proficiency in financial software and MS Office, especially Excel.
  • Excellent communication and leadership skills, with a track record of managing cross-functional teams.
  • Knowledge of current financial regulations and reporting requirements.
