Finance Director - Cloud

What You'll Do
Teradata is seeking a highly skilled and experienced Finance Director to lead the financial oversight of its Cloud business. This role will be an integral part of helping steer the company's financial strategy with a focus on profitable growth. The ideal candidate is personable, self-motivated and technically proficient as they work alongside stakeholders from across the business.
Responsibilities
- Financial Strategy & Analysis: Develop and implement robust financial strategies aligned with the company's goals. Conduct in-depth analysis of cloud operations, ARR, and margins to identify trends, opportunities, and areas for improvement.
- Budgeting & Forecasting: Oversee budgeting, financial forecasting, and modeling. Provide accurate financial forecasts for cloud operations, ensuring alignment with the company's growth targets.
- Performance Management: Monitor and report on financial performance against budget and forecast, providing insights and recommendations to optimize profitability.
- Cost Management: Implement effective cost control measures for cloud operations. Drive efficiency and cost savings without compromising service quality.
- Stakeholder Collaboration: Work closely with cross-functional teams, including IT, sales, and product development, to align financial and business strategies.
- Compliance & Reporting: Ensure compliance with financial regulations and standards. Prepare and present financial reports to senior management and stakeholders.
- Team Leadership: Lead, mentor, and develop a high-performing finance team.
Who You'll Work With
- Provide support to the Sr Vice President of Cloud Operations
- Collaborate cross-functionally with stakeholders across all areas of Teradata
What Makes You a Qualified Candidate
- Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, or related field.
- MBA or relevant advanced degree preferred.
- Minimum of 10 years of experience in finance, with at least 5 years in a leadership role within a SaaS or technology company.
- Proven expertise in financial management of cloud operations and a strong understanding of ARR and margin analysis.
- Exceptional analytical, strategic thinking, and problem-solving abilities.
- Advanced proficiency in financial software and MS Office, especially Excel.
- Excellent communication and leadership skills, with a track record of managing cross-functional teams.
- Knowledge of current financial regulations and reporting requirements.
