We are seeking a highly analytical professional with an in-depth understanding of subscription pricing strategies. You will be an adept modeler, excelling in creating, managing, and analyzing models using diverse data inputs, encompassing new acquisitions, churn rates, and rate movements. Your insights will fuel weekly, monthly, and yearly reporting on subscriber volume and revenue projections, shaping our strategic decisions. Collaborating closely with consumer revenue leads at both the group and site levels, you will ensure the utmost accuracy in our forecasting processes.
Your Role:
- Innovative Modeling: Develop and document new models, prioritizing subscriber volume and revenue forecasting to drive informed decisions.
- Actionable Reporting: Create insightful reports based on model forecasts, enabling actionable strategies and outcomes.
- Analytical Precision: Conduct in-depth analysis of model inputs across various scenarios, guaranteeing the precision of our forecasting outputs.
- Enhanced Model Performance: Engage in exploratory data analysis, optimizing models and ensuring the accuracy of forecasting results.
- Comprehensive Monitoring: Prepare and deliver regular reports monitoring models on a weekly, monthly, and yearly basis, providing valuable insights for proactive decision-making.
- Market Insight: Contribute to yield analysis and price elasticity assessments across Hearst markets, enhancing our revenue strategies.
- Responsive Collaboration: Address ad-hoc requests promptly from business and finance management, showcasing your agility and responsiveness.
Requirements:
- Strong analytical skills, proficient in collecting, organizing, and presenting significant amounts of information with meticulous attention to detail and accuracy.
- Superior skills in Microsoft Excel, including detailed and automated modeling abilities. SQL proficiency is a plus!
- Bring prior experience in constructing pricing and financial models, reflecting your expertise in this domain.
- Experience with subscription-based models, particularly within the media industry.
- Comfort with data warehousing concepts, data preparation, and configuring automated workflows.
- BA/BS in accounting or finance, providing a solid academic foundation.
- 5-7 years of related consumer experience.
