ROLE OUTLINE:
• Manage the Polish organization's financial reporting, budget and forecasting, cash flow management.
• Providing sound financial assistance and information to management to make informed decisions.
• Report to the International Finance Director and lead our Polish Finance team.
YOUR DAY-TO-DAY WORK
You'll lead the Polish Finance team, overseeing all financial matters, tax compliance, and local operations for CIC in Poland. Your role includes preparing reliable financial reports, budget analysis, and offering financial advice. You'll also participate in financial aspects of projects and assist in annual account preparation. As the General Manager's business partner, you'll collaborate with global teams to support CIC's goals, ensure financial and legal compliance, and maintain essential relationships with bankers, auditors, advisors, and statutory organizations.
In addition to the above you will:
• Use and maintain a comprehensive accounting system and other financial systems.
• Manage the team of three people.
• Develop annual budgets, forecasts, cash management and the strategic long-term plan.
• Drive timely close and financial reporting processes on a monthly basis.
• Ensure that the company is in compliance with Polish accounting regulations, tax and any other regulations.
• Oversee the preparation of required tax and other compliance related filings, such as VAT tax, corporate income tax, withholding tax, capital tax, and transfer pricing documentation.
• Prepare and oversee the preparation of the statutory financial statements and submission of such to the relevant authorities.
• Coordinate and support annual US GAAP audits and other audits as required.
• Plan and manage the financial staff including staff mentoring and development, establishing priorities and expectations, and provide guidance and supervision to ensure all finance matters are properly handled. Be the owner of planning. monitoring and appraising the performance of the finance team.
• Drive ongoing business process improvements by proactively identifying and implementing enhancements that boost efficiency and reduce risks throughout the organization. This includes refining processes related to risk management, financial reporting, forecasting methods, and analytics to enhance overall business performance.
• Identify and help drive opportunities that improve internal control, process, and efficiency that result in strengthening regulatory compliance.
• Support ad hoc analysis and projects as required.

YOU HAVE
• A minimum Bachelor degree in Finance, Accounting, Business Administration or Economics (CFA, CPA, ACCA or CIMA is an asset).
• 8+ years of experience in accounting, controlling or financial management. Experience as Head of Finance or similar position.
• Strong knowledge of accounting principles and financial regulations both internationally and domestically.
• Strong working knowledge of financial and forecasting systems.
• Strong Polish and English communication skills (English at C1-C2 level), both written and verbal, including the ability to communicate effectively with senior management, large / small groups and one-on-one.
