Finance Group Manager - CFO of Private Equity

As a(n) Finance Group Manager - CFO of Private Equity within PNC's Finance organization, you will be based in Pittsburgh, PA.
Company Background: The Capital Finance portfolio consists of three separate direct investment funds (active) and certain legacy private equity and other alternative investments. The portfolio is carried at estimated fair value (invested indirectly through various private equity funds).
Responsibilities:
This is a high-profile position in a non-traditional banking business. The CFO works closely with and supports the Chief Investment Officer and the investment fund managers and their teams. The CFO is also the primary point of contact for certain external service providers, regulators, and PNC Audit, Legal, Accounting Policy and other key internal partners.
Additional responsibilities include:• Reporting, budgeting, forecasting, stress testing, investment process (from initial documentation to funding), fair valuation review, performance analysis, and variance analyses• Prepare carry calculations quarterly and manage year-end long term incentive payment process• Serve as Secretary for PNC Capital Finance Board of Directors (establish meetings, prepare and coordinate materials, lead meeting, and prepare minutes) and for the Alternative Investment Management Committee • Develop and execute controls and policies/procedures/frameworks to support Enterprise Risk Framework as they relate to finance/accounting activities• Manage relationships with internal and external partners including legal, regulators, auditors, tax providers), risk personnel, and vendors (mostly Investran/FIS)• Serve as representative on Non-dollar Working Group• Oversee a team of 6 (4 direct reports) in multiple locations
This is a hybrid position which provides flexibility to work both in the office and remotely and is based in Pittsburgh, PA. Certain job responsibilities may require time in the office on a regular basis.

Roles at this level typically require a university / college degree. Higher level education such as a Masters degree, PhD, or certifications is desirable. Industry-relevant experience is typically 8+ years. At least 5 years of prior management experience is typically required. Proven leadership experience with a moderate to large scope of responsibility is required. In lieu of a degree, a comparable combination of education and experience (including military service) may be considered.

Job Description
- Manages and oversees a variety of financial management and accounting services. Works to create a high performing inclusive team. Generally manages a larger team, typically is a manager of managers, supporting a business segment(s), or manages multiple complex business sub-segments or functional units.
- Manages the preparation of internal financial and business metric reports and information to support quarterly and annual external reports. Reviews and comments on quarterly and annual public filings. Reviews and interprets financial reports to inform business decisions. Responsible for signing off on Controllers Checklists and Financial Reporting sub-certifications for assigned business. Communicates at the highest levels of the organization.
- Manages stategic planning process and produces annual budget process and monthly forecast updates. Identify ways to outperform. Responsible for delivering targets.
- Structures and manages delivery of ad hoc finance and accounting analysis, including management accounting analysis. Responsible for delivering recommendations at the highest level of the organization. Works closely with Accounting Policy on new accounting standard adoptions affecting their business. Performs/Reviews technical accounting research and documentation on issues affecting their business.
- Structures and leads the preparation of reports and analysis in response to requests and requirements of auditors, regulators, and investors. Communicates directly with external constituents. Identifies and escalates key risks to management. May also contribute to risk review and challenge for the business and for select areas of the organization. Promptly identifies and addresses control matters; maintains sound control processes. Prepares/reviews Stress testing projections for assigned business including performing respective model and non-model reviews. Involved in new model/non-model development efforts.
