Finance Intern

The Finance Intern is a highly motivated and detail-oriented student who is excited to embrace a unique opportunity to gain valuable hands-on experience in various aspects of financial operations and analysis. This internship will provide you with exposure to financial analysis, budgeting, financial planning, Anti-Money Laundering (AML) procedures, secondary markets mortgage pipeline hedging, and other critical finance functions within our organization.

This is a summer internship (June-August) with a full-time 10-week commitment.

What you will do here:

Financial Analysis:

Assist in the implementation and buildout of a new finance tool.

Assist in conducting financial analysis

Analyze financial data, trends, and metrics to provide insights and recommendations.

Prepare financial reports and presentations for management review.

Budgeting and Financial Planning:

Support budgeting processes by gathering data, analyzing variances, and assisting in budget preparation.

Contribute to financial forecasting and planning activities.

AML Compliance:

Assist and support project team implementing new AML software.

Learn and adhere to Anti-Money Laundering (AML) policies and procedures.

Assist in AML compliance activities, including transaction monitoring and reporting.

Secondary Markets Mortgage Pipeline Hedging:

Gain exposure to secondary markets mortgage pipeline hedging strategies and practices.

Assist in monitoring and analyzing mortgage pipeline risks and hedging activities in secondary markets.

Finance Operations:

Participate in day-to-day finance operations, such as invoice processing, expense tracking, and financial data entry.

Assist in financial audits and compliance reviews.

Other duties as assigned.

What you will need:

Currently enrolled in Finance or Business program and entering senior year required.

1+ years analyzing financial data, trends, and metrics to provide insights and recommendations preferred.

Ability to reason effectively and employ quantitative analyses required.

Strong written and verbal communication skills required.

Team oriented required.

Demonstrated expertise in Microsoft Office Suite (Outlook, Excel, Word).
