Finance Intern

Job Overview:

Opportunity is for a summer internship with the corporate finance team. This position will be a survey of all facets of the financial process from generating a billing transaction to final executive reporting. Along the way special projects will be given that will provide real world experience into the operations of the finance team.

Key Responsibilities/Accountabilities:

• Assist with performing ad-hoc financial analyses at multiple levels of complexity
• Shadow and assist members of the finance team.
• Assist with reconciling transactions, comparing and correcting data
• Assist with maintaining database entering, verifying, and backing up data
• Assisting in projects of heavy data and analysis for the all areas of the business
• Maintaining and protecting confidential data
• Other duties as assigned.

Basic Qualifications:

• 2 years completed of a Finance or Accounting degree. Rising junior, senior or grad students
• Experience in Data analytics and reporting projects
• Experience with Microsoft Office preferred (Excel, PowerPoint, Access, Outlook)
• Proficiency with Microsoft Excel required (Pivot Tables, VLOOKUP, Formulas)
• Effective communication, analytical, computer, and interpersonal skills.
• Detail-oriented with strong organizational skills
• Strong aptitude for process improvement
• Ability to work on multiple projects and assignments simultaneously and meet deadlines
• Effective written and oral communication skills and ability to assist others in defining their needs in a collaborative, tactful manner
• Ability to communicate with both technical and non-technical audiences
• Effective written and oral communication skills.
• Interpret and/or discuss information with others, which involves terminology or concepts not familiar to many people; regularly provide advice and recommend actions involving rather complex issues.
• May resolve problems within established practices
