Job Description

This is an exciting opportunity to be a part of a dynamic Rotational Finance program. The intern will be able to develop and strengthen skills in a variety of domains including relationship management, communication techniques, and project analysis while further developing their finance and technical capabilities. This position will be involved in the day-to-day financial environment providing an immersive experience with the intent of fostering the knowledge and experience necessary to transition into a full-time role within the company. The ideal candidate is highly motivated and has a desire to problem solve. In this year-round program, the intern will have the opportunity to support and work in general Project Controlling, Operations Finance, Commercial Finance, and Global FP&A.

***The Rotational Intern Program is year-round. Student must be able to work full-time during the summer and part-time throughout the school year. Dematic is flexible on working hours during the school year, but expectation is 15-20 hours per week.

Tasks and Qualifications:

This is What You Will do in This Role:

  • Support project forecasting
  • Project variance analysis
  • Monthly financial reporting
  • Cost center review & analysis
  • Identify opportunities to streamline processes and/or identify process barriers to improve overall efficiencies
  • Order intake (sales) forecasting and budgeting
  • Assist with month-end close activities
  • Support basic accounting activities such as reconciliations and journal entries
  • Support for special projects and other assignments as needed

What We are Looking For:

  • Must be able to work part-time throughout the school year and full-time through summer
  • Preferrable to travel to our Atlanta office location on occasion
  • Must have completed at least 2 years or undergraduate study and be enrolled in at least an undergraduate-level curriculum leading to a BA or BS in Accounting, Finance, or a related discipline
  • Must have and maintain a 3.0 GPA
  • Working knowledge of Microsoft Office applications
