About the Role
At Thomson Reuters we are focused on building an inclusive culture of world-class talent. The Finance Internship is a robust 12-week program designed to give interns real-world, applicable, professional experience by working on specific projects and being involved in day to day operations just as a full-time employee would be expected. As part of the internship program you will be provided both personal and professional growth opportunities including:
- Project-Based Experience: Provide analysis and recommendations around a specific project. Examples of past projects include:
- Developed a sales performance dashboard to identify and target the most beneficial incentives to accelerate revenue growth
- Constructed and analyzed full P&L views for several products and recommended actions to improve profitability
- Created an operating model to integrate and track performance of recent acquisitions
- Training: Technical, systems, and soft skill training
- Networking: Lunch and learn sessions with various leaders across the organization along with conversations with other interns, professionals, and senior management
- Real-World Exposure: Job shadows and 1:1 lunches with former interns and finance leaders
About You
You're a fit for a Finance Intern if you:
- Are achieving a bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, Business Analytics, Data Science, Information Systems, Mathematics, Economics, or Statistics (Graduation date December 2023 to May 2024)
- Encompass strong business and financial acumen, data analysis, and analytical skills
- Demonstrate leadership and effective communication, organizational, and interpersonal skills
- Work comfortably in a team environment with changing priorities and time pressures
- Can be an agile learner, demonstrate strong decision-making skills, and act with integrity
