What You'll Do

Our Bank & Trust business line is looking for a student intern position to assist with projects and other special assignments across several functional areas within Bank & Trust such as operations, investments/loans, finance/accounting, risk, compliance, and fiduciary/education services.
Your experience in this role will include:
- Exposure to the banking and trust industries
- Engagement with several functional areas of Bank & Trust
- Connection with senior and other leaders across Bank & Trust and the rest of Principal
- Meaningful projects and special assignments with direct impacts to Bank & Trust

Who You Are
- Currently pursuing or recently completed (within 6 months) undergraduate or graduate level degree
- Involvement in extracurricular activities and/or involvement within the community
- Interest in a career in the financial services industry
- Ability to build positive relationships with internal and external partners
- Good communication skills (written and verbal)
- Demonstrated leadership with community or school organizations and/or through work experience
- Familiarity with Microsoft Office products (Excel, Word, etc)
- Interest in the Banking, and Trust industries and/or in general, the financial services industry
- Programming skills especially with Power BI or SQL
Salary Range Information
Salary ranges below reflect targeted base salaries. Non-sales positions have the opportunity to participate in a bonus program. Sales positions are eligible for sales incentives, and in some instances a bonus plan, whereby total compensation may far exceed base salary depending on individual performance. Actual compensation for all roles will be based upon geographic location, work experience, education, licensure requirements and/or skill level and will be finalized at the time of offer.
Salary Range
$24 - $26 / hour

Internship Stipend
You will receive a lump sum stipend of $3,000. This amount is intended to support incidental expenses you may incur as part of your internship. The Company will provide a tax gross-up on this stipend as a financial benefit but is not intended to compensate for all tax liabilities.
Work Environments
This role offers in-office, hybrid (blending at least three office days in a typical workweek).
