Summary

This role is responsible for debt compliance reporting for the company and its affiliates. Directs all of the company's leasing activities and coordinates with operating groups to identify lease appropriate assets as part of the capital planning process. Assists the treasurer in identifying financial structures and sources of financing for the company and its subsidiaries. Maintains a dialogue with the company's key banks. In conjunction with the treasurer and the legal department reviews all financing documentation and negotiates key terms and conditions. Provides support for other projects as requested.

Key Responsibilities

Affiliate Financing Support:

  • Assist affiliate operations in obtaining financing by completing requests for proposal (RFPs) and analyzing responses to identify the optimum lender.
  • Negotiate agreement terms and conditions and facilitate document execution.
  • Monitor and review related compliance reporting to ensure covenant reporting timeliness and accuracy along with the timely identification and resolution of issues.

Treasury Department Support:

  • Develop and maintain prospective relationships with non-line lender institutions to understand new products and to establish future financing alternatives for the Company.
  • Establish understanding of other treasury activities to provide backup capabilities as necessary.

Financing Agreement Compliance:

  • Understand financing-imposed covenants and requirements of the company and its affiliates.
  • Obtain, develop and/or assemble financial and other required information quarterly and as necessary to monitor and report compliance with numerous lending agreement terms and conditions.
  • Provide compliance results for senior executive consideration and approval.

Financing Agreement Origination:

  • In support of treasurer, identify, evaluate, and make recommendations on prospective financing alternatives to ensure the company is implementing competitively priced and structured agreements.

Leasing Management:

  • Understand Company capital spending, identify lease finance opportunities, complete RFPs with prospects & analyze responses to find optimum lessor. Lead negotiation/implementation of new master lease agreements.
  • Direct periodic lease fundings & document completion. Coordinate/review all buyouts, terminations, settlements outside of lease terms.

Typical Education

  • Bachelor's Degree (B.A. or B.S.) from 4 year college or university

Relevant Experience

  • 5+ years of relevant experience
  • Requires broad understanding of the Company's operations and markets to be able to support Treasurer in discussing the Company's financial condition.
  • Must have experience in working with large banking institutions, corporate finance, legal documentation associated with debt transactions and negotiation.
  • Experience with international (OUS) debt facilities is preferred.
  • Experience with evaluating, negotiating, and implementing working capital solutions (such as supply chain finance and dynamic discounting) is preferred.
  • Ability to effectively interact with operations personnel, accounting department, senior management, and outside providers.
  • Often external reporting deadlines must be met within a very short time frame of receipt of supporting information.
  • Ability to read, analyze, interpret, and negotiate complex documentation.
  • Strong time management and customer service skills required with ability to respond effectively to the sensitive inquiries or complaints.
  • Solid work ethic and team player; ability to work well independently but also collaborate with and influence a cross section of peers and senior management
