Finance Manager

*We are seeking two Finance Managers, one for our Technology Department, a second for our Publication Department.

The Finance Manager will provide operational financial support to the Chief Financial Officer and Departmental Leadership, helping to manage project budgets, track expenses and payments, liaise with vendors, and serve as the overall financial point of contact for the applicable team including but not limited to:

• Work with Finance to maintain all financial reporting for Department projects.
  • Coordinate with Department teams and Finance to maintain costs within budget, provide regular reporting of performance against budget and maintain estimates to complete projects throughout their lifecycle.
  • Report variances and assist in the development and implementation of corrective action when appropriate.
• Assist, as needed, in the development, tracking, and submission of project budgets to Finance.
• Assist, as needed, in the preparation of Department-related contracts with vendors.
• Review all invoicing from vendors against contract terms, and process/track approvals, submission, and payments made by Accounts Payable.
• Maintain relevant project codes, working with Department, and Finance to establish new projects and retire completed projects as needed.
• Liaise with project managers in the development of budgets.
• Assist Department and Finance with related vendor communications.

Qualifications:

• Bachelor's degree, preferably in accounting/finance or a related field
• Experience in publishing or technology preferred.
• Contracts and project management experience preferred.
• Strong communication skills and ability to work diplomatically across departments required.
• Excellent analytical skills required.
• Strong technical skills with experience using Microsoft Excel and database management software required.

*The base salary range represents the low and high end of the expected salary range for the position. The base salary offered may depend on a variety of factors such as geographic location, experience, education, and skill level.
