Finance Manager
Job Description
This position is responsible for driving the financial reporting, planning and budgeting for the HS Ortho Consolidated businesses. This individual will be responsible for the reporting and analysis of the annual budget as well as the monthly closes and forecasts for the consolidated entities. Responsibilities also include partnering with senior management and business partners to support future growth opportunities and key initiatives. The position requires aptitude for system enhancements and process improvements to support business strategic goals.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Drive the monthly close process for full P&L, operating expense, and required trial balance analysis.
- Partner with functional and intercompany teams as needed to support finance activities including corporate reporting deliverables, policy compliance, and process improvements.
- Partner with the Departmental Leaders to track their actual spend, understand ongoing risks and opportunities to the budget, analyze current month expenses for completeness, and develop a strong working relationship to collaborate on the monthly forecast process.
- Pro-actively analyze profitability, headcount and expenses, investigate unusual items and prepare monthly performance reports to management. Provide cost saving recommendations to management, based on sound financial understanding of the P&L, balance sheet and cash flow effect on business decisions.
- Drive the annual budget submission process and support management team by providing in-depth operating budget analyses.
- Prepare monthly analytical reports including variance analysis, ROI analysis, and other financial comparisons. Support business functional groups with sales analytical information and help drive and recommend analysis used in decision making.
- Ownership for completion of sunshine reporting, quarterly footnotes and other corporate reporting compliance.
- Drive key system implementations on behalf of Finance.
- Must be upstart and proactive about driving process improvements across multiple functional areas.
- Own headcount reporting and FTE analysis
- Lead SOX controls and ensure in compliance each quarter
- Lead improvements with AP and AR to improve DPO and DSO
- Drive QAD improvements and ensure meets business requirements
- Finance rep for new product launches
- Create monthly management slides and present to Senior Leadership
- Create ROI for Marketing programs and CapEx requests
- Create monthly Operating Income bridge for key drivers monthly
- Develop pricing approval matrix to ensure margin expectations are met
- Calculate leverage ratio's monthly to ensure adequate cash flow
- Participate in special projects as needed.
SPECIFIC KNOWLEDGE & SKILLS:
- Strong commitment to financial accuracy and data integrity is required
- Strong ability to understand and communicate complex financial concepts
- BS in Finance or Accounting required
- Understanding of GAAP
- Expert Knowledge of Microsoft products, specifically Excel, required
- Strong communication skills to lead business improvements and understanding of complex financial scenarios'

WORK EXPERIENCE:
Typically 5 to 8 years of increasing responsibility and complexity in terms of any applicable professional experience.
PREFERRED EDUCATION:
Typically a Bachelor's Degree or global equivalent in related discipline. Master's degree or global equivalent preferred. May hold two or more industry certifications.
TRAVEL / PHYSICAL DEMANDS:
Travel typically less than 10%. Office environment. No special physical demands required.
The posted range for this position is $95,990 to $131,987 which is the expected starting base salary range for an employee who is new to the role to fully proficient in the role. Many factors go into determining employee pay within the posted range including education, prior experience, training, current skills, certifications, location/labor market, internal equity, etc.
At the time of this posting, this position is eligible for a [bonus not reflected in the posted range subject to the achievement of the plan.
