Overview
Are you passionate about making a strategic impact and working for a mission-driven organization? A remote based position, this individual contributor Finance Manager role at Mixbook represents a fantastic opportunity to become part of a passionate, growing team working together to build a successful consumer tech business with a meaningful mission, collaborative and caring company culture, and inspiring values that we truly live out each and every day. As our Finance Manager, you will partner with the finance leadership team and key stakeholders on strategic planning needs. You’ll be the owner of the company financial model and will think beyond immediate analysis to understand the long-term implications of actions.
Location
This position is fully remote, based in the USA with travel every other month for executive meetings.Â
What You’ll Do
- Create and build models and analyses to provide insight into financial, operational, and strategic decision making.
- Business partnering skills and holistic view of business strategy, processes, and financial objectives
- Play a key role in supporting our consolidated strategic and financial planning processes, helping to maintain and scale our underlying integrated financial models, systems, and tools
- Constantly improve overall financial visibility and accountability by analyzing results, monitoring variances, identifying trends, risks, and opportunities, and communicating these insights to key stakeholders and executive team
- Help assess the financial impact of potential new revenue streams, business lines, and operational strategies
- Prepare monthly, quarterly, and ad hoc reports and presentations for key stakeholders.
- Work cross-functionally across operations, accounting, marketing, people, and product teams on strategic projects, ad-hoc project work and analysis.
- Ad-hoc analysis as required
What You’ll Need
- Bachelor's Degree in an applicable field (Finance, Accounting, Economics, etc.)Â
- 8+ years total career experience with 5+ years of strategic finance experience
- Strong quantitative and analytical skills, with demonstrated experience manipulating large datasets and building financial models from scratch in Excel
- Ability to present to senior management teams on a consistent basis
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate cross-functionally across departments and summarize complex information concisely, both verbally and through presentations
- Previous industry experience in ecommerce is a plus
- Prior experience with Adaptive Planning or Intacct experience is a plus
