How You’ll Make a Difference
In this role, you’ll use your exceptional finance and accounting skills to support the needs of Arcellx’s R&D collaboration, budgeting, reporting, and monthly-close process. Our Finance Manager will help ensure the success of our collaboration with our strategic partner and ultimately impact our ability to get our potentially life-saving therapy to patients.
The “Fine Print” – What You’ll DoÂ
- Collaborate with internal and external FP&A teams and alliance management to effectively budget and forecast partnership-related activities.
- Work closely with the accounting team to ensure collaboration activities are properly recorded in accordance with GAAP and collaboration agreement.
- Support the Sr. Director of FP&A with the financial planning, reporting, and budgeting process.
- Utilize understanding of budget and forecast to create high quality variance and trend analysis on a monthly, quarterly, and annual basis.
- Track projects’ costs against budget, analyze differences to ensure project and departmental budget remain within identified budget limits.
- Track requisitions and obligations against approved budgets.
- Collaborate with the accounting team on the monthly close process and financial reporting.
- Liaise with various organizations and partner with functional leads to create plans and forecasts, understanding/evaluating key functional drivers.
Skills and Experience We Look ForÂ
- Bachelor’s degree in accounting, finance, or a related field.
- 4-7+ years finance/accounting support roles for a biotech or pharma company.
- Experience supporting the R&D and/or clinical functions.
- Understanding of US GAAP and financial statements.
- Strong analytical, critical thinking, and problem-solving skills.
- Skilled in Excel and data compilation and aggregation, including pivot tables, and v-lookups.
- Highly organized and efficient with the proven ability to handle multiple projects, think creatively, and set priorities.

The base salary range for this position is $115,000 - $160,000 per year. Where a candidate falls within that range is determined by factors such as years of experience and location. Our compensation package also includes an annual bonus based on company goals and an equity (RSU) grant. We do offer relocation assistance for roles if required.
