Due to an internal promotion, we are looking for an experienced Finance Manager to join our Finance team, based in Box Hill.

This is a hybrid role with the expectation of 3 days onsite.

The Role

  • The Finance Manager is responsible for partnering and providing financial and management accounting support and advice to relevant business areas and Senior Management.
  • The Finance Manager is responsible for managing a team and ensuring that effective governance and controls are applied across the finance function.

The Accountabilities

  • Provide day to day support and monthly management reporting to relevant business unit (i.e. P&L statements; KPI reports; management of budgets and monthly forecasting)
  • Provides senior and executive management with complete and accurate financial information and reporting including opportunities and recommendations for budget and cost control
  • Meets statutory and regulatory obligations in a timely manner (i.e. tax; R&D tax compliance; government grants)
  • Ensures accounting treatment and policies exist, are correctly applied and continuously improved
  • Provides effective leadership to team to ensure plans, forecasts and actual results are clearly communicated to key stakeholders
  • Effectively interprets, explains and drives performance within the business
  • Supports and influences key operational and strategic decisions
  • Advises on key business planning assumptions, trade-offs and opportunities
  • Provides ad-hoc analysis, insights and recommendations on specific issues
  • Co-ordination and delivery of the annual budget process in consultation with business unit leaders
  • Liaising with managerial staff and other colleagues, and external stakeholders which may include auditors, bankers, insurance brokers and lawyers

The Typical Experiences

  • Minimum of 8+ years post qualification business and commercial experience
  • A tertiary qualification in finance/commerce-based discipline and CPA/CA qualified
  • Proven strategic planning and financial report experience at the management level
  • Experience in the use of ERP accounting systems (D365 an advantage)
  • Highly proficient in Excel
  • Compliance with policies, procedures and international quality standards (ISO 9001)
