Your Role At Baxter:

The Finance Manager supports the Sr. Financial Manager of Americas Region and multiple operational business partners. This individual will use their financial expertise and communication skills to support our operational business partners in Fulfillment operations with business decisions, financial forecasting, planning and results analysis.

The role supports financial processes related to P&F including LBE, Forecasts, Annual Operating Plan and Long-Range Strategic Plans as well as monthly analysis of warehouse distribution centers and freight expenditures, strategic decision support models, future capital expenditures and associated financial requirements. Additionally, the role drives strategic guidance and reporting on leased facilities, machinery, and equipment.

What You'll Be Doing

• Develop deep understanding of the Canada Planning, Fulfillment, Commercial, and Operational organizations
• Lead for Canada P&F: Provide business and decision support for Canada transportation team. Lead collaborative process with Business partners to develop forecast financial outlooks and annual financial operating plan and Long-Range Financial Plan.
• Play a key role in support warehouse and freight operations on initiatives within Baxter and Third-Party Logistics Providers in Canada
• Support validation of Cost Improvement Initiatives (VIPs) for Canada
• Play a key role in dis-integration of two new companies in Canada
• Coordinate Capital projects initiation processes for US, Canada and PR Planning and Fulfillment team to ensure all requirements met
• Coordinate with Costa Rica FP&A Team to ensure required financial process elements are met for both P&L and Balance Sheet
• Perform special projects with heavy financial analysis and modeling for cross functional teams--provide recommendations, challenge key assumptions, and drive financial acumen
• Leverage Baxter systems to complete ad-hoc financial analyses as requested
• Analyze accounting and month-close processes and propose opportunities to simplify and improve while maintaining appropriate level of internal controls

What You'll Bring:

• Bachelor's Degree in Accounting, Finance or related field (or country equivalent)
• Experience using JDE
• Demonstration of key finance competencies and qualifications and 5+ years of relevant experience
• Self-starter with strong analytical skills, decision-making capabilities and detail-oriented
• Excellent communication and strong interpersonal skills.
• Strong technical and financial knowledge, including understanding of internal control requirements and accounting principles as well as understanding of relevant business environment.
• Eagerness to learn and continuously improve
• Experienced in using MS Office (Excel, PowerPoint) and/or capable of learning new applications (PlanIT, BaxIntel, Tableau, and Supply Chain Guru).
• Strong analytical skills with familiarity with accounting, financial analysis and reporting.
• Ability to manage and prioritize tasks concurrently

We understand compensation is an important factor as you consider the next step in your career. At Baxter, we are committed to equitable pay for all our employees, and we strive to be more transparent with our pay practices. To that end, this position has a base salary range of $80,000 to $180,000. The above range represents the expected base salary range for this position. The actual salary may vary based upon several factors including, but not limited to, relevant skills/experience, time in the role, business line, and geographic/office location.
