Role Description:

A Finance Manager at Status Solutions is responsible for working with the general ledger and accounting systems to maintain accurate financial accounts. This team member will work with the Finance and Accounting team to ensure business processes, administration, and financial management are accurate and sound. The Finance Manager will assist with financial decisions, the month end closing process, and preparation of the annual operating budget. In addition, this role will work closely with the Director of Finance to prepare all financial reports.

Responsibilities:

  • Oversee general ledger and accounting functions and systems to ensure compliance with appropriate GAAP standards while maintaining accurate financial accounts.
  • Prepare, analyze, and submit monthly, quarterly, and annual financial reports to Leadership.
  • Maintain adequate accounting systems, access controls, and ensure control of confidential and proprietary information.
  • Must be able to communicate financial information into sound business language so people of all levels can understand.
  • Review all systems and reports to ensure proper inventory control, and that movement and counts of inventory are accurately reflected in the financial records.
    • Asset Management and MDM.
  • Works daily with Accounts Receivable, Accounts Payable, and invoicing functions for accurate payment applications, invoices, and collections.
  • Assists the Director of Finance in:
    • Preparing the annual operating budget of the business.
    • Making important financial decisions.
    • Completing the month end closing process to ensure accounts are reconciled in a timely manner.
    • Coordinating and finalizing annual financial audits.
    • Developing the necessary financial reports and budgets.
  • Prepare financial documents such as business reports, financial forecasts, and statements to understand the financial state of business.
  • Monitor and understand financial reports of the business and determine ways to reduce costs.
  • Ensuring compliance with state and federal regulatory requirements and professional standards, including sales tax oversight of Avalara.
  • Continually focuses on creating an environment that promotes the overall growth of Status Solutions and Status Solutions Network.
    • Funneling any potential leads to Sales & SSN team.

Requirements

  • A Bachelor Degree in Accounting.
    • Licensed CPA and/or public accounting experience preferred.
  • Experience in an entrepreneurial and forward-thinking environment.
  • 10+ years of total experience in public accounting and SAAS in a Standard Costing environment.
  • Proven supervisory skills with at least 5 years in a supervisory capacity.
  • Advanced knowledge of Excel and Sage Intacct Financial software.
    • Ability to learn and use other software tools as required.
  • Outstanding organizational and time management skills in order to effectively manage multiple projects.
  • Excellent verbal and written communications skills.
  • Strong attention to detail and adept at analyzing information.
  • Thorough understanding of the importance in handling confidential information.
  • Capable of adapting and responding quickly to changes
  • Ability to locate and utilize resources as effective business tools.
  • Proven track record of contributing results in a collaborative team environment.
